such a fun episode to watch! the 2 Korean Girls (AHYUL and GAYUL) are younger than the japanese but they actually look like their seniors! kind of blending a lot more with YESEUL and UKA.
the translation at 0:33 is wrong. pyun ae does not mean sexually partial, it just means to favor someone/something. in the vid she said the teachers favored students who got good grades. edit: it seems they have edited the subtitles and reuploaded them to fix the wrong part.
just came from the other ep with the reverse selection. you guys need to find similar height contestants. otherwise the height difference is glaringly obvious and in both cases helped solve the question right away.
@@sara.cbc92 According to genetic studies, the Japanese are most similar to Koreans. But I agree that the Koreans are usually taller and have wider faces (not always though).
@@sara.cbc92 Can you give me the names of some studies? I researched this the other day and I swear most sources mentioned that the Japanese are genetically closest to Koreans. That doesn't mean they are the same.
@@sara.cbc92 Yeah I read multiple studies and they all mention that Japanese are most similar to the Ryukyuan people & Korean people. But they are NOT the same, obviously. I can easily tell them apart.
@@sara.cbc92 Yes, I know. I am just quoting those studies that have analysed genetical similarities or how "close" these populations are from a genetical POV. I did NOT say that Koreans are the closest to Japanese - it's the other way around (which is not the same). Please reread my comments (and the studies).
It is surprising. I graduated high school just a few years ago, and we had a very strict dress code from custom-made vests down to dress shoes. If not, you were sent home.
Asian public school will always have uniform. Those with no uniform usually private school. Also east Asian will have different kind of clothing than other parts of Asia is because they have different seasons. I'm southeast Asian btw
from what i can see is that korean highschoolers wear a lot more makeup than japanese highschoolers. i think that's one of the big giveaways imo, especially at first glance
i agree, the beauty cult is stronger in korea, makeup, nail, like 25% of young women have chirugy. they search also whitest skin. and many young ladies want to look like 25+sexy woman. i cant tell myself but they can recognize ethny with their face , all those reasons go for blind test...and without school uniform it would be more clear that korean like baggy clothes/jogging, luxury brand, classy clothes , makeup etc..
Koreans (South) are on average taller than Japanese people. So if you remove them by height, you have a higher chance of getting it right. In fact, Koreans are probably the tallest among East Asians. That being said, Koreans and modern Japanese people are the most ethnically similar.
@@sara.cbc92 Wrong. Learn some hisotry lol. They have a lot of similar words like in the case of English and French for example which are neighboring countries. And share a lot of genetics because historically many Koreans invaded and migrated to Japan, multiple times over thousands of years, replacing the original Ainu population. Just like the French and Normands invaded Great Britain over time in Europe. Not to mention that Korea became a Japanese colony for almost 50 years and a lot of mixing (forced or not) happened.
@@geosophik9369 they didn't "replace" the ainu people tho, they just mixed with them, which is also à reason why you can easily see à différence between a japanese and korean
Blindfolded just proves my point you can tell the difference between a Korean female and a Japanese female by looking at their face. Even as a foreigner I could tell from Ahyul and Gayul they look very Korean. Nothing you find in either Japan or China. After watching many Korean web dramas on youtube in addition to LCK and PlayStation Korea's commercials you get used to it. Koreans have different attitude than Japanese too. They try to hide their spontaneous side here because it's an attempt of acting you can't notice any difference.
quite all teens of world are very beautifull with good makeup. but listen to an old man, you must look at the parents, great parents, for understand how her face will evolve over decades. like we say "like mother like daughter". in the street when you see stunning mother daughter, you say ok,n and some time ugly mother, you see, ah those ride go there, and there, okay^^ , but remember its not the face who matter, but character and personn,
just went 1month in holiday in korea, the ethnicity is very similar in the country, that mean, you will get lot of similar (for me) face, specially because they have all the same body shape, hairstyle, same beauty standard, clothes same, are all thin....that mean the hair style , makeup is totally korean, and really like some idol picture , so i agree, her eye makeup is topclass. many girl in the street have makeup dress like if they were idol, or going to night club, or high paid job...its not vulgar, that just the norm.
My country don't allow make up or bring make up. If you wear, you need to wash it off. You only allow to wear it in university. Yes I'm Asian from southeast Asia. I understand why Korea allow make up. I think it because their beauty standards being too high. That's why I don't support plastic surgery. It change people mindset and will not let them accept who they are.
@@sakurasaki4949east Asia usually wear make up idk about southeast Asia but since the weather is hot over there people don't wear heavy makeup I think?
@@sara.cbc92 We can see that this guy in Japan, one of war-criminal countries, frames and blames the victim country in a dark and persistent way. How shameless.😮
