This video is for intermediate and college algebra. It is a how to find the least common denominator of rational expressions / functions. You would use this technique to add and subtract rational expressions. Sometimes you can use it to solve rational equations. Most importantly you will use it as you progress up the math ranks. Two examples are given.

You have the lcd wrong! One of the factors of the Lcd is 48 not 2^4 or 16 because 2(8)=16 and 2(3)=6 but you have to combine all the factors. Also search it up online
