In this special 3-PART MASTERCLASS, we drop you inside a Tony Robbins Business Mastery seminar to learn HOW TO BUILD A BRAND, SHOWCASE YOUR X FACTOR, and BRING YOUR UNIQUE PRODUCT or SERVICE to a COMPETITIVE MARKET.
In PART TWO, you'll see Tony Robbins in a one-on-one interview with CHIP WILSON, the Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist who is best known for founding the athletic apparel company Lululemon Athletica.
Wilson is widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential entrepreneurs in the apparel industry. After working in the ski industry for several years, Wilson first founded Westbeach Snowboard in 1979, which eventually became one of the largest snowboarding apparel companies in the world.
In 1998, Wilson started Lululemon Athletica with the goal of creating high-quality yoga apparel that was both functional and fashionable. Thanks to Chip’s commitment to innovation and culture, Lululemon quickly gained a following among yoga enthusiasts, growing into a billion-dollar global brand. Wilson served as CEO of Lululemon from its inception until 2005, and he remained a board member until 2013.
Throughout his career, Wilson has been known for his unconventional approach to business and his willingness to take risks. He has also been an active philanthropist, supporting a variety of causes related to education, health, and the environment - including his own non-profit imagine1day, which works to improve education in Ethiopia.
Special Note: Please stick around to the end of this interview for an exclusive Q&A with all three of our Business Mastery guests - Gail Becker, Dan Cathy and Chip Wilson!

Fantastic panel. One comment, when the 3 panelists were asked a question they gave a direct answer. When Mr Robbins was asked he gave a seminar. Like Dale Carnegie says, “be specific, be brief & be seated”. 🎉

In response to all the comments hating on Chip, he founded the company, he doesn’t run the company. Even though he still owns a small chunk of the company, he was forced out of the board years ago so he has no influence on the company anymore. None of the controversies from the last few years had anything to do with him.

I know from being a grocery manager for 3 billionaires and I would see volume go through these big chains and see how much they were selling but I knew the products they were selling because I know from our 104 year old product through our generation of family and the quality is the key in a food product I have a package that is the key I will not tell it on air because legal aspect it’s what I know that some angles you have to understand that from the grocery business how you have to merchandise to people and certain ways to market the key to successful marketing is your soul in how to have people skills and the key in life for everyone as your soul is Gods gift to each one of us the soul is what is the key in life.

I would say when I was reading Jamie Kern Lima she made me to assignments but also most of what she di I had already done most of this in my life except I was marketing in small outlets, I know two things that if you go into competition into a certain product you have to have the edge is I have probably tested my product as in 500 places that had the same product and I knew that my product was the best on the market because your know quality and the customer base which is the key.
@MikeRatushniak-pj5ce

I would say when you understand the corporate business you understand to things your making billionaires money but not yourself ,but I started in my basement in St Albert Alberta with a friend I understand two things that are most important in business is your have to have knowledge but your also have to experience in marketing and sale is the key to success plus your product has to be consumed by the the customers and it’s the true value of the product is the key if it’s marketed right.

I’m watching the video as I type this, but screw this guy. My 14 year old daughter dragged me into Lululemon for dance tights recently. The prices were outrageous, but I bought them anyways. To see that they recently FIRED two of their associates for calling the police after a retail theft lost me forever. Totally opposite values of Dan Cathy and Chick-Fil-A who was on last night. Are you listening Lululemon? I will never step foot in your stores again.

Well Tony, you've really lost your mojo. Interviewing the man who's company fired 2 girls for attemptoing to stop a shoplifter, how pathetic. They claim their stuff is only "stuff". .. So, if they don't mind letting it get stollen, why bother even selling it at the overpriced price they already sell it at?
@ShadowCaster3214
@ShadowCaster3214 Год назад
I respectfully disagree with you. What the two girls did was pretty risky and careless. Although their hearts were in the right place, for all they knew the shoplifters they were trying to stop had weapons or accomplices/backup. Anybody willing to steal and risk going to jail is likely unpredictable. If they had a weapon they could have used it out of fear and then that not only would put themselves at risk, but everybody around them too. The firing was a safety thing, why would a company keep employees who have bad judgment on multiple levels? They either didn’t take Lulu’s well known and common rule seriously and completely disregarded it or they didn’t read their own work contract which is their responsibility as Employees. On top of that if there is anyone who needed to understand that it was “just stuff” it was them. They essentially put their lives at risk for leggings bro, of all the things to potentially die for too, over clothes. I used to work at starbucks and they tell us the same thing company wide. Don’t die for the store or the company. Don’t die over a coffee or tea. Companies account for merchandise lost in their yearly budget and expenses so the lost merchandise wouldn’t even have hurt Lulu in the first place. Girls had good intentions but poor judgement at the end of the day IMO.

@@ShadowCaster3214 With respect, I appreciate your approach to your response. I have and MBA and a law degree and I've attended all of Tony's events years ago when they were in person. From a business perspective, these girls are KEEPERS!! They may require additional training so not to do this again, however they clearly know right from wrong and are passionate about their job and the company. Those are rare qualities in todays "turn and burn" work ethic. Now from a legal perspective, had they beating the shit out of the guy or killed him, then termination is what companies do to minmize the legal ramifications of their actions. This is called "vicarious liability". This is how all the "karens" get rich when one employee gets out of line, they sue the company. In this case, that criminal will not be pressing charges against the company they just robbed. The Tony I knew back in the day would have praised them for their heroism and ambition, while cautiously advising not to repeat that again due to the possoble risks it could have brought them. This would be no different than a child running into the street to retrieve the family dog. While the parents will love them for being so brave, they will also help them learn the dangers of their actions and strongly encourage them not to do it again. They would not ground them for it.

@@chcgostyle I don’t know if you listened to the whole interview or not. If you did, than you may have missed the part where this guy was kicked off the board and then wrote a letter telling them how they were basically ruining the company. The firing of the girls, literally had nothing to do with him. Who knows what would have happened if he was still in charge. On a personal note, I don’t have a PlayStation, so... back to my PC.
