This wasn't mentioned in the video, but in the side-by-side it looks like the Bintelli has an obvious amount of more space between the seat and front of the bike vs the Tao Tao which mean more legroom if you're a taller rider.
3 years on the Tao Tao 50, 2000 miles really dependable, few vacuum hoses , 2 spark plugs new battery, that was it. I changed oil , gear oil, transmission fluid , cop recently gave me a ticket for out of class saying that I need a motorcycle license I am fighting it , every piece of description calls it a scooter
Simple bike. Air/fuel/spark. If you can do basic maintenance, it will last. Then he said the other bike shines more? Just wax it! It’ll shine😂😂😂. The headlight is something from the 60s? Just change the bulb to an LED. I’m sure they sell them.
Very well done and accurate. I can not stress enough the single most important difference between the two, the ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Sure the Gates belt is a good thing, but lets be honest, a Gates belt for a TaoTao is not that much money. But the ENTIRE electrical system...…….another thing entirely! Also the fact that the Bintelli has much better hoses & fuel system parts. The carbs are different between the two as well. (from the ones I looked at) I worked 2 years at a dealership that sold TaoToa & Johnway (pretty much exact same thing) THE absolute #1 by FAR most common failure: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM!!! Like...…………..80%+ of the failures were electrical. STRESS to your customers the importance of the upgraded electrical system. That ALONE is worth every penny of the price difference! Great vid dude. Thanks for posting it up.
The tao tao electrical system is not that bad if you know anything about wiring they do have the no spark problem but its so cheap to fix its not that big of a deal
I got a (practically new) used taotao 50 a few months ago.. just needed something cheap to get around with. I've put about 700km on it so far and it's been relatively solid.. I did manage to break Kickstarter (panel) and replaced the carb. A lot of people around here won't work on Chinese scooters so stay away of you aren't somewhat mechanically inclined. If you can handle basic maintenance and service and understand what you're getting, they aren't terrible.
The GY6 is not a Honda clone. Sellers use that often to create a sell point. However, the GY6 engine a very good an reliable engine. But Honda had never build anything close to the GY6. That is a fact.
Well the GY6 engine developed somewhere 40 to 50 years ago and frankly I believe they're all made basically at the same plant in China and distributed to other Chinese scooter manufacturers even they can call it a didn't tell even though it's not Italian
Well first of all my name is Daniel Reynolds from Bedford Indiana I enjoyed your video the dog barking was kind of cute he was trying to put it in butt butt nobody wanted to listen to him but I did notice is you talked about the frame the paint the mirrors didn't do much to talk about the seat too much a separate lives up and down you did not mention to wear and tear also did not mention the shocks or the carburetor too much because I assume both has the exact same carburetor I would love to know more detail about the carburetor to know if it's the exact same model or a higher up conversion carburetor with a heavier breather and heavier air gasket or heavy air flow that makes a big condition on all of the objects that go into our carburetor which normally shuts down the entire machine you mentioned the right tool for the right job y'all send me the right carburetor for the right job hope you enjoy my Intel sincerely Danny Reynolds Bedford Indiana
Hi I have a taotao 2018 i left it for almost 10 months sitting in garage I did try to start it up won't start only had 24 miles on it,.is it a gas problem not getting to the carburetor ?thanks
Probably is gas. Modern gas is not good to carburetors especially if you leave it sitting in there, so you need to start the scooter once a week even if you are not riding it. Not a scooter expert but that would be my guess. You may need to drain the tank and lines, empty the carb and clean it to get it going again.
I’m bintelli all day. I drive a sprint and I love her. I’ve probably put around 4,000 miles on it since May. I work at a scooter shop as a technician and I work on Tao Taos all day. My personal opinion is Tao Tao is trash.
Owned a ATM50 I will never purchase another TaoTao those things just aren't not built to last without swapping parts to higher quality components. Over 2K miles you will have failures in key parts like your belt and exhaust welds.

No you don't need a license to ride a scooter. To ride a scooter you need first of all a scooter. But a license would make your ride legal. In some states the police insist that you show her/him a license. The real answer to your question depends on the state you live in and therefore is coming from your nearest DMV Department of Motor Vehicles
********** SO WHY ARE YOU MAKING SUCH A BIG DEAL ABOUT THE HALOGEN HEADLIGHT BULB?? IS IT REALLY THAT BIG OF A DEAL TO JUST CHANGE THE BULB?? **********
the pony looks like the ATM-50A1 to me $499 NIB . the Bintelli is a ripoff of the Benelli name ( est 1911), sprint $1299.00 , buy 3 taotaos and save $300
"the Bintelli is a rip-off of the Benelli name" I think you should look into things a bit more, and sadly the name is not a rip off. Bintelli Powersports is located in Charleston, South Carolina and founded by Justin Jackrel who bought out the Chinese Scooter Co called Zen Scooters, He brought them to the USA.
the attraction for a lot of people is they are cheap and you dont usually need a motorcycle endorsement on your license if its a 50cc. I am thinking of one to use when I go camping in my RV as a runabout but I dont have a motorcycle license. I have ridden bikes before but always off road.
Is this guy daft? American vehicles are made to look distinct from each other? 😂. Take a stroll through the hood and look at all the SUVs, compacts, and mid sized cars. They all look the same. On my street there are 4 different make and model SUVs that are all 2019 and newer. They all have the same body style!
throw the TaoTao in the trash and get a Bentelli. NEVER EVER buy a Toatao you will regret it. Bentelli scooters are actually really good and will last about 20K miles before you gotta replace something.
i have a taotao powermax 150cc, changed the oil after 25,000 miles that was 2 years ago, still runs great , original tires brakes belt lights even transmission gear oil it cost $650 NIB , i think they are $700 now NIB
@@nick-zj5fd thank you but i once had a made in china flannel shirt that fell to pieces after the very first wash it was like gauze. i have a porssche not a mazdah
