One of the best for me so far! I’m always anxious and a little lost when I walk into a hotel room to shoot. Seeing the way you figured out the light and the space was inspiring! More importantly, you saying YOU had no idea what you were gonna do up front gives me confidence if that makes sense? Thank you guys!

the simplicity of the bed/duvet portrait set up is quite brilliant.

You can see a great confidence and comfort in his way of working and thanks to his advice I have achieved better results after 4 sessions with the same model.

I was glad just to see the model so happy, looking at her own picture. And, I’m always missing Bec, nowadays, so its a relief just to see her awkwardness right there at the beginning… Hey Peter! Are you eating your vegetables? Live long and prosper, all three of you.

I hope you enjoyed the trip to Europe, and I hope you found time to have fun too. In the past I used to travel a lot and I learned many things, mainly for my personal life. My opinion is that, when we travel, we usually miss things we have left behind and when we come back home we can have them again. On the other hand, when we are back home we have so good memories from the places and people we have seen and meet that we wish to go again to visit them. This is the magic of traveling. I wish you can keep o traveling, assisting Peter in making photography as art. -- @Rara: Many thanks for posing in this session. You know very well you have an impressive silhouette, with very very provocative poses, from all angles that the video camera is pointing to. It brings a lot my attention is your face, the photographies where the camera is close to it; and I would like to tell you what comes to my head: 1) You have a very serene gaze, that reminds me the Mediterranean Sea when is calm, wouldn't you spend hours and hours looking at it?. 2) If I were a painter (I'm not) I will search for the most fine brush to paint every single hair from your head on a canvas. 3) Your face, reminds me these photographies where there is an audience, in an art gallery watching a painting, you are in the painting, have you ever considered posing for a painter, in the old fashion way? 4) ... and more things that I am not going to say in here, for obvious reasons, otherwise I will be breaking the rules. Additionally to these points I would like to add that you show you have very good mental health, based on the way to laugh; you will always have friends around you, believe me. I wish I have the same level of mental health. -- @Peter: Many thanks for the photography session in that room, specially for those like me that don't have big place indoor. I like a lot when yourself are moving the objects in the room to adjust light and background, this is good DIY example. With RaRa I have always the feeling that a photo camera is not sufficient, believe me, she needs to be captured with a video camera because she moves in a very special way. RaRa doesn't made a sequence of poses, but instead a continuous move, so the video is more suitable for her. Don't forget that RaRa is a dancer. Other point I would like to mention is that I prefer BW when the camera is close to the face, but I prefer colour when the camera is capturing her full body. -- Please, never stop sharing these type of sessions!

Thanks for this as I have my first hotel room shoot this weekend with a model I have worked with before but I wasn't sure what we could do about the varying light, well it is summer and it is Scotland. We had a shoot a couple of weeks ago in a studio full of lighting gear and backgrounds. But we both looked at the massive window and its North facing light coming in and we used it for lighting and got so many great photos, still editing them when my eyes behave themselves

I like the last look where are the skin mid-tones fit inside greater contrast between white whites and black blacks.

was thinking of an old commercial look where the model's eyes reflected the light of a TV that she was watching. might work well in that kind of room or in living room on red or black couch

Peter, that was a great session, the natural light did more then it you use flash, which would changed the composition completely. the shadow on Ra-Ra’s face added to the mystique. Great video.

Thank you, guys. That was instructive. I especially like the finish: shaping and bouncing light off of the bed cover while shooting into the darkened room behind. The compression and the lovely bokeh of the vintage Summacron 75 is really pretty. And, by the end, the collaboration between you got to that place where things needed to be to get the shot, even in an Airbnb. (I hope that they didn't bill you for the houseplant...) Well done. :)

Sure did like it. Started the video 8 minutes after it was available. Loved seeing the micro body movements RaRa did without a lot of direction. Sure did give Peter the looks he was after. I realized I did not have a good grasp of the difference between fashion and beauty. Pretty sure Peter knows, but I don’t. Bec did a great job with the video. Thanks!

I use large cameras and he was surprised every time I see you working with those cameras, they are very small! but they are medium format, right?

I do love this kind of excercises..taking the best of every place us not always easy shot, but you make it look easy..except for furniture moving 🤣 i also hate that but when is needed is needed and i request a big guy as assistant ok shots ☺️ i'm too tiny to move many objects..adore your model body languaje..is so sexy and powerful .and most adored the photos resulting.. you're a great artist!! The only thing I don´t like about this is that most of the time the model is really commited and delivering some pretty cool poses with nice body language, but Peter is only clicking away head shots!
