Me and my two daughters are all overweight. Now it appears my 25 year old granddaughter is starting to gain weight as well. I was telling them about you. We had a golden that passed away at age 13. He was our big baby and we loved him to pieces. My husband never wanted more than one dog. But, now we have 3 goldens and love watching them play with each other, and realize now that we should have let our other golden have a playmate. So, that being said we now have 3 and we love it. Yes, tons of fur, as you well know. We are retired and in our 70’s so they keep us very busy. We also have a Maggie!! Your Maggie is so beautiful and loved the ending with her in your lap. As I type this I have one curled up at my feet, another by my side on the couch and the biggest one in my lap. Life is good!!
I have had golden retrievers for years. I’ve always had 2 at a time. They are very needy dogs but they play together all the time which really helps. I have a 1 year old female and a 7 month old male. They are the best dogs ever ❤
I second Caleb’s remark on having level, square walls 😂 I have a 1916 Victorian & we are doing room by room diy reno (to bring back the org charm/features) and the lack of level surfaces & square walls definitely makes reno so much harder! I love old homes but super excited to see the completion of your home (especially the staircase!!)

My husband and I r in our 60s and we decided to get out of the “subdivision” living and bought a place with 11 1/2 acres and an existing house( we built four houses throughout our marriage) and added four male Alpaca to our property and LOVE it!!! Consider chickens or goats or even outdoor bunnies, your children will love helping take care of them. We always had pets when the kids were growing up, but how I wish we would have had this little hobby farm when the kiddos were young. We r in WI. so the winters r tough but it keeps us going every day!
This was such an adorable video. My husband and I have been married 21 years this July and we have 5 children. I love that he said there is no balance! It's so true, seasons of parenting change on the regular, but having a spouse to share the routine with makes all the difference!
I loved this so much! Thank for sharing your wisdom and lives :) I will say, my husband and I have two golden retrievers (One is 4 and the other is 3) and it has been THE BEST decision!!! Our oldest was VERY needy and actually looked sad at times to be honest, but after we got her sister she has been doing so so so much better! They are the best together and honestly, much easier :)
I have had 2 pups for many years and it is so much fun watching them together! (Goldens, labs and huskies ) It is also very helpful if they have separation anxiety. I would highly recommend it. 😁

What a great video!! Caleb is a natural at it. He sounds SO much like my hubby...software/tech expert, doesn't like the dirt but loves the outcome of the gardening, etc. LOL!!! He's also supportive like my hubby, so we are both very blessed wives!! I do wish, though, that I could get my husband on board with DIYs, could use his muscle, but he helps when it gets really difficult! You two make a wonderful team and that will be the greatest gift you can ever give your kids. ❤
Thank you for mentioning that you don't remember ever having a fight. I've only ever heard that from one other couple. Having grown up in a very tumultuous environment, it's hard to believe that those relationships exist.
Caleb was spot on about old houses! Ours is an 1896 Victorian and I’m ALWAYS telling my husband there is no such thing as a square corner or a level floor in an old house 😂🤣! I so enjoyed watching y’all’s interaction with each other ♥️

You can solve so many gardening/watering problems by installing Hoselink retractable hoses. They are a gamechanger. This is an unpaid advertisement! Keep up the good work !!
Yes!! I agree. We bought one last year for the back yard and it was so much easier! This year we added one to reach the front yard. So easynto use and as far as I am concerned, Hoselink is the best on the market.
