But you, Kay Warren, you spoke to the deepest and darkest corner of my heart because you have walked through it and lived to tell about it with such a strong force that we cannot help but be affected by your life. God bless you forever more with every good and perfect gift. You deserve it all!!!! I live all the way in China but I hope one day I can meet you in person and tell you that your life are saving lives around the world. Thank you for persevering through everything God has allowed in your life so you can come forth and help those living in despair.

Being in a period of loss and grief, I found myself coming back to Kay's message again and again. I was supposed to watch this tonight. I really needed to hear this message after a tough day of parenting. I am a single parent, but I was reminded by Kay's message, that I'm NOT alone. This reminder made me cry. I cried from relief, thankfulness, and joy. I feel at peace now. ❤️

I love you so much Kay. I finally found a speaker that can relate to what I'm going through. You speak the hidden truths in my heart that few can understand around me. Even when I share my anger, grief and disillusionment with friends at church, they cannot understand it. I am one of those people that checked all the boxes you mentioned in the beginning of the video. I hope I can get out of this alive and become a woman of hope and character. Right now in the midst of darkness, I often want to just give up,,,to the point of even ending my life. I am going to watch all of your videos to find hope again. Because what else can I hold on to that will not fail me? What choice do I got if I want to preserve my life? I have searched and tried all the ways, and I know I can only put my hope in God. I pray and hope God have mercy on my soul and let me live to tell about it, like Kay, when I come out on the other side. God help us all who hare going through the dark nights of the soul. May we all survive and thrive.

Thank you for this message. I have been saved a long time and He is still not renewing my mind. I am still tormented by thoughts and fears. If we are created in His image then why doesn't He also renew our minds and hearts quicker. I too have been sexuaed abused as an adolescent, bullied by kids at school and a sibling so much that I didn't want to be here anymore. I lost a loved one as a child, my father had many health issues and almost died a few times when I was a child so I grew up very fearful of life, no sense of stability or security. Low self worth and I live in a fight, flight or freeze mode. We didn't choose all these things but God as a so called loving allowed. I have severe depression, anxiety, panic, insomnia, fear of moving forward, fear of loss, fear of aging alone and death. I hear other Christians say how God released them from their fears well I have been a Christian for over 20 years. Where is my joy and peace.

Despite joining Saddleback HK for the past year, this is the first time I actually heard Pastor Kay. Man, I was blown away in many ways by her candid display of emotions, words and demeanour, i am just grateful that here in this church, there are so many people who are willing to bear their souls so that the rest of us can grow from their scars and frailties.

Kay, thank you! Your scars silence those pastors who accuse us of lack of faith, coz we make our schizofrenics sister to regularly take her medications. Her religious hallucinations & delusions are neither gift of the spirit nor demon possession. All family & caregiver of the mentally ill are continually grieving eventho the patients still alive, albeit completely different from suicide survivors.

Ahhh man I tell ya when I had to stop my career in nursing due to health I was CRUSHED. Oh gosh not only did my health tank I couldn't continue in my field. All I felt was deep hopelessness and anger, oh gosh the anger. God gave me another chance cuz I was praying to be saved from just awefull hopeless suicidal thoughts. Here I am with hope 🙏 and it has turned my life for a positive💯🙌

All things are possible through Christ who strengthens us 🙏🏻

Kay this message was life changing for me on this day at this time in my life to remind me of the beauty in the scars of Jesus and in the beauty of the truly ugly and almost disfiguring scar that i wear in my own soul that was wearing down on me and reminding me daily that i cannot overcome because i cannot trust that it wont happen again. I can overcome i will overcome them and i will wear them proudly to show the love of God and the power of Jesus in my life, and use them as God had intended for me to to share Him who gives us strength.

I can relate to everything on that list you gave at the beginning (for me it was abuse, rape, dealing with depression). I ve lived a defeated life.everything and i mean everything did not work out at all.school,tried to get into military,jobs,places to live and my kids.its depressing

At 26:49 Kay says that God gives resources to cope with life. He does indeed. I'm still learning that. I am saying to myself, whoa, wait a minute Kay. That being the truth, as you say it is, (and I do believe that it is) then, if that is the truth, why did your son not avail himself of God's resources instead of making the decision to take his own life. Honest. I'm not trying to deliberately pour salt into a wound here. Is it possible that there was some barrier in the son's thinking that prevented him from accessing God's resources? I too, have been tempted with suicide multiple times. Each time I cried out to God to help me not to give in. Not to even want to give in. I kept crying out until the temptation passed. I realize that it was the enemy of my soul who wanted to take me out by giving in to that temptation. Every time I cried out to Jesus to not give in, the power of that temptation became less and less. Scripture tells us that when we are tempted that He will provide the way of escape. He is the way of escape -- by crying out to Him.

For me, life was always hard. I never had the disillusionment that it is or supposed to be easy. Rather, I struggle with the thought is the hard work and pain worth it all?

Ok. Im so disappointed in this teaching... I'm 23 minutes into this message and only continued listening because I'm trying to figure out at what point does she say rely on God or Jesus heals no instead she says if we don't get treatment where is the message of relying on God she throws Jesus in only when she refers to scriptures in the Bible but never speaks of Jesus healing. Two talks about resilience as being something that we can learn instead of relying on God. And then I realize how out of touch she was when she references buying a toy helicopter out of Sky Mall magazine like everyone is able to fly all around the world and know what Skymall magazine is. Then it's even worse when she says how am I going to feed my children a third world problem. She really needs to wake up because that's a problem in the United States every single day for many many many people. She reminds me of Joel Olsteen who preaches about prosperity hope Wellness but doesn't talk about relying on Jesus or Jesus healing or even being in touch with the world around her I guess this is what happens when you're the first lady of a megachurch I'm. And if those things are mentioned after 23 minutes and I'm going to miss them because I can't see a message taking 23 minutes to touch on the point of relying on Jesus
