You touched my heart when you gave glory to God after breaking your own world record in Oregon (and quoted Heb 4:16). Doing that in this day and age is truly bold and we need more athletes like you. I admire you even more now not only because you are the best in history but more so because of your faith. The Lord will lift you even more!
Thank you for speaking about our LORD Jesus Christ and your relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and found and married a man who had a intimate relationship with the Lord first and secondly, your husband. Such a beautiful person. So glad to hear her testimony in Christ. Certainly a once in a generation athlete. Someone whose records will be there for a long time. Glad to call her sister.
With this world of big tech companies and media always putting forth the other side of living and mocking god out loud constantly, to come out and praise Jesus is a step of faith where most are told to be silence. I surely hope that a generation of a new era revitalizes that spirit. I now find myself praying for people instead of confrontation, let agree to disagree and work on things we can and agree to let the Lord do his work. It been a very powerful force.

I'm not bothered by your disbelief. Atheists are deeply troubled by others having faith in God. It's almost like you're angry with successful people being at peace. Great interview....... but she has gotten married. So how old is this interview? It seems to be 11 months old. This is the longest I've heard Sydney speak and it was so enjoyable. She seems very level headed and that is crucial with her being in the world's spotlight so much.
Yes, a great conversation! Descrip says Nov 2021. She said the wedding would be May 2022, which DID happen. Maybe Jason told her he’d wait to post AFTER the World meet …to lessen distractions &/or so she could focus, or - Who knows!!

Wow.. what an incredible interview. Whether on or off the track this young lady deports herself with grace and elegance. Could not help but think of 1 Corinthians 9:25. Sydney has her priorities aligned where Christ would want them to be. She is competing for an imperishable crown. I have to smile when the sports journalist ask her a question about her performance and when she attributes it to God, it is as if they never heard it!! Much respect to you Sydney and also Jason for providing the perfect platform and eliciting responses that blessed all of us.

So good for her . Lord gives to whom He wishes talents and can also let people be tested as with Job , Joseph in Egypt. But can also let people go through life with trials as with Lazarus. I am of course happy for her and what she achieves. Remember also that many are called but few are chosen. Many people receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ but many fall away through life when sorrows come, persecutions, hardships and few hold on to Cross at last. 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Who can go through trials without Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit?

A christian recently posted. "My home is somewhere else...I'm just traveling through". And therein lies the problem of Christianity and all religions for that matter. Living this way makes the world less than and hopeless. When you truly believe this world isn't your home...you vote it in politically. Christians vote for those that let health care be a right only for the wealthy. They vote to allow corporations to pollute and destroy the world...they vote for those that literally fight for young men to have access to assault weapons who then execute children in schools..they vote to build walls. Why don't they fight for a world that makes it better for everyone that lives in it while they are here? Because like the Christian said...you are only traveling through!! The only heaven we humans will ever get is if we work together to create it and the cults of religions will always stand in the way. Why take responsibility to make the world better when a magical invisible being is going to solve all your problems. In fact I believe those that believe in a God have an invested interest to make the world worse as we can see with what the religious zealots have done to the United States. You want this world to end so you can get to your new home!!
I see what you are saying and that is certainly true for SOME Christians. However. There are plenty of Christians...like myself that are NOT conservative about the world and see the beautiful world and how beautiful the human family is. There are many moderate and more liberal believing Christians that vote the opposite of what you describe here. Don't paint with such a broad brush.

But again that just reinforces my world view...every group has good and bad... Christians, Muslims, Atheist, Wiccan, etc. It just proves a God plays no role in either good or bad.
