The booth at 2:30 gives Disney a run for its money when it comes to ridiculous prices. Saying it’s a scam without caring if the one who runs the booth hears is the mad lad energy we love to see
I was wondering if Josh from Josh builds was going to ask Bricksie about if a user was going to superchat him, if he would be a gentleman and read out the superchat on the stream....
What a great time brickworld Chicago was! Great editing on the video! It was great to see you interacting with the community and doing all that you did. I didn't get a chance to meet you unfortunately but the show was full of so many people, couldn't meet everyone. Hope to see you next year there!
Dude that first you booth you showed where so overpriced I remember they had Rey’s for 12 each lol but I would a lot of my stuff to them for like 600 bucks lol 😂
Booths cost $3,000-$25,000+ just for the space. Then you have to cover hotel, shipping pallets and booth supplies. Ends up costing $10,000 - $45,000+ for one trade show.
Booths at LEGO conventions don’t cost that much. Regardless I’m we’ll aware it’s not free and don’t actually care what they ask, it’s just a good title and easy to make fun of.
@@MandRvlog how many booths have you set up and run? My trade show booth cost over $1k just to transport to a location, and another $1k to bring it back. It’s very expensive to operate.
@@STEINBERG2329 I have two crates. They are both 8x4x4. Inside the crates are the trade show walls, kiosks, supplies, and product. They need to be trucked from my warehouse to the show location. Before Covid, it cost $900 one way for a truck to come and pick up both crates. From San Diego CA to Pasadena CA. Now with gas prices tripled, I can only assume trucking prices have gone up.
You should get a little trailer for when you make trips and can keep stuff in it while your not using it it’s it’s a smaller one you can tow it with you stang and you can get a used U-Haul one cheap
20:10 Bro please, PLEASE tell me you've also seen the Operation Knightfall Jedi Temple MOC that both David (Solid Brix Studios) and Lee secretly worked on for 9 days. Now THAT is TOP BUILD. Easily #1 for this year's Brickworld! The Venator's a VERY close #2 of course!! :D
Nice vlog very expensive video but looked like all good and fun times. Plus making money back off those figures you bought for $5,300. It's crazy to see how far you've come and what you've been able to do looking forward to seeing more.
Hey Ryan, are you going to be at the 2nd BrickFair VA in March of 2023 I'm going to be at the one coming up and that one but ill only be there on the last day of this coming one and wanted to know if I would be able to meet you at either BrickFair?
@@Rounderyathecruel Rubbish. The dude is an awesome MOC artist and creates some of the best MOC's out there. All his MOC's with the exception of one (which he was transparent about) he pays for himself. You can tell if he likes a set, because he buys the second (AT-AT for example) and multiple if he loves it himself. All his sets previous to a couple of years ago he bought himself and if you watch his videos are quite similar to now. The only thing he really stopped doing while he maintained his LAN status (which contrary to some sad opinions is shrill - a lot of great Lego YT makers are part of LAN) he didn't call them out on price, which he has begun to do more recently. However, if that's the way you feel, that says a lot about you.
Hey Ryan, Saw the prices and some were total Ludacris I had the star was 3 in 1 for 90 at Brick Rodeo 😆. Just for the casual viewer to know how pricing works for vendors. They are literally at a $1000 to $1500 deficit if you consider lease fees, hotel, gas and employee. I would price that goat at 125-150 tbh as well but I'd put it in a cool acrylic box and lipstic the pig a little bit.
A scam by definition is something fraudulent or misrepresented. Pricing things higher than market value in a transparent and straight forward way isn't a scam. People can ask whatever they want for their merchandise.
There isn’t a convention or event in the world where things aren’t more money than regular. Are you guys new ? Plus it’s a “convenience fee” so to speak. No shipping, no waiting you just get it.
Wait how is there a darth maul vs Ahsoka Lego set if when darth maul lost his legs Ahsoka wasn’t even technically like born yet and he had his legs in the battle
There were mutliple, depending on who you mean. There is the one german with the glasses and black hair, thats Alex (Dogma54), then we have David (daves.customs)with blond hair and glasses, then we got Nik (hat_brick) who has brownish hair which is a lil longer, has a mustache and is tall, and then there is me in that yellow/greenish nike pullover 🗿
