I find tones of lure along a beach with a Mine Lab Equinox 800 metal detector.
One of the lures I had even lost myself and found again. Finding lost lures is great fun to do.

the more important part with this though, Keeping the beaches clean :) When I go fishing, i always bring a bag, and pick up trash when I leave, just takes a few minutes... would like more of us fishers to do it...

LoL! Andy, i was watching the video that you were using the Found Lures , Didn't realize you had a video on how you found them till i saw this video! Cool! Mate, using a Metal Detector to locate them other than the Visual Finds! Quite a Value Haul! We use the Detectors on Beaches,(weekdays) which are normally crowded on Weekends and find all sorts of valuables ! LOL!

Excellent detector Andy.... I have a Nox 800 as well and they are a great Machine... Now ya need to get a Garrett Supersluice Gold Pan.. on ebay ...lol.... for those gold bearing creeks... The horse shoe mode on the detector is to test for iron.... so you can detect without it and it should still beep... when you put it on it will tell you if it is iron or not... great to distinguish between rubbish metals and coins...

Awesome vid Andy, I am always looking while I'm fishing as I am walking down the beach and have found a mixture of soft plastics and hard bodies and have been in alright condition, it's fun finding stuff numerous pairs of sunnies and fished up so much line that someone has lost on a stingray with tackle on the end. Keep it up Andy great job 💯👌👍

Soft spot for detecting and finding lures, so I really enjoyed it. I dive for jigs around the piers here. Mainly get squid jigs and sinkers. Always a good afternoon on the water. I know not much of an option up your way sadly.

I use the equinox 600 in the parks and beaches and i love it. I reckon you set yourself a challenge where you find the lures then have to do a catch and cook with whatever lures you find. Could turn into a cool video. I have found some cool stuff including gold rings up in the whitsundays so keep at it!

I run a detector around one of the local reservoirs when the water level is low, and I also collect lures. I take a bigger bag to remove all the rubbish I locate as well.

An easy way to clean found lures is methilatid spirits on a cloth. It works great.

That xrap is an awesome lure lost one in the exact same pattern to a shark at dunk island in April and lost one of those prawns in gloucester passage few weeks back lol

If not for the decent condition of the rings I'd say that lure with the tubing has been in the water a good 30+ years... that's a super oldschool way of rigging.
