I really hope her old owner checks on these vids and knows how loved Allie is! There's a universal love for her, I hope the old owner knows that, too. It's bittersweet, but Allie is in a great home!

Tegus are invasive there, aren't they? Isn't making a law against keeping them like closing the barn door after the horse is gone? I mean, there are red-eared sliders in every pond I've seen here in CA. They're invasive as hell, but you can still buy them in pet stores. Also, I'd like to point out that when people let their cats roam, they're the worst invasive species of all, but they're considered cuter than reptiles, so they get a pass. I'm not saying I hate cats, but they aren't grouped with other invasive species and maybe they should be. That's not a popular thing to say, I bet. I've been thinking about getting a Birman or ragdoll kitty, but if I can't let the cat exercise outside in some fashion, that might not be fair. If I had property, I'd build some runs. I think a leash is the only option where I live. I just don't think it's right to let a tiny lion loose in this ecosystem, even if "everyone else does it."

@@LadyhawksLairDotCom If you have a small garden or a balcony you can cover open spaces with cat net. That way the cat can play outside without any danger.

@@LadyhawksLairDotCom no they’re not invasive that I’m aware to, the problem with the law is it’s illegal to own one and what this does is then those who have they have to “get rid” of their pets meaning inevitably they’ll be realised into the wild. That’s where the problem starts.also adding it means if someone gets one they may go down a illegal route. Wickens wicked reptiles did a good video explaining it. At the end of the day I agree cats are incrediblely invasive but because they’re beloved and how normal it is to have one there won’t be laws put on them, but reptiles by most people opinions they’re scary dirty and so on. And a lot of these laws are just put in place by people who don’t Understand reptiles. And to add we really need to educate people from a young age what all animals are actually like to reduce these fears.

Funny thing is, they say it’s a bunch of owners releasing them, then for things like Brown Anoles ... they arrived via shipments, etc. But plot twist: while back researchers released a bunch of Carolinensis to an island they didn’t belong in. Just to see the behavioral adaptations and changes that would occur alongside the resident anole populations. How interesting, since there would be more than enough data where there’s already yrs of adaptations and behavioral changes that’s been occurring throughout FL. Way more invasive species occur via research releases, facility escapees and the occasional breeders, than individual owners. It’s the same thing w the Capybara in the region: escapees from a facility. Making sure to point that out while still available, in case they want to redact and blame a bunch of owners later on. It’s a whole mess of pick and choose w diff animals.

Since they are wild there people don't keep them or not allowed too? Learn new things everyday and this channel has an abundance 😊

@@MaggieFox45 if sneaking spinach and other vegetables into blueberry muffins will help keep the kid not malnourished while allowing them to eat foods they like, then there is no harm. It's not like they're putting arsenic into their chicken nuggets

Well, because videos will almost always take multiple days. Multiple weeks if you include all the time from idea to upload. Unfortunately a week isn’t that long to make a video
