Right?! Consistent uploads, great view times, video and audio is solid. Content is fresh. He's headed for 1M and up eventually. Maybe a little better balance of drive time content vs shop time stuff but honestly I'm always entertained. I wanna see some drag race content.... Day 1 of asking Jimmy to go drag racing
And he give us an organic content, I mean he show us how much effort take to make something nice, he show us a way to see cars. This guy and his crew are special.
Love it when Derek visits the shop lol. I fix up the leaks on the Supra and enjoy it the rest of the summer, and give it the resto in the winter. More work pulling it twice but best of both worlds.
You could pull the engine and re gasket it at a minimum since it seems that's bothering you. I understand the rabbit hole though because I'm sure you'll want to clean up more in the process
Always worth doing on an unknown engine. Had an m50b25 and changed every gasket or serviceable part other than the head gasket. 700 miles later a piece of the head gasket came out from between the block and the head. Now I change every single head gasket when I get a new car/engine.
Need to just order all the parts u need for the supra so u have everything when its time to pull it apart. Drive it till like around October and then start the build.
I'd say enjoy it while you have great weather then when winter hits take it apart redo the whole car... we would love to see a Supra Winter build Vlogs, who's with me yall

Jimmy right now just do an fyeah weekend (week) refresh special on the motor so you have a runner for the rest of the season. Once she holds all her fluids you'll be aight. Then winter do the damn thing son!
I agree with the quick regasket only. Definitely gotta enjoy it while you can but do the basics so you stop leaking oil everywhere and have some level of comfort to last it this summer
I just wanna see you enjoy the car Jimmy. If it takes putting gaskets in the engine then do that but don't waste the season away. I'd love to see more pulls and you just enjoying the ride.
hes going to pull the engine and by the time hes able to put it back in there will be snow on the ground, bad move imo just drive it for the last couple months of summer
Make the wheel switch for sure! As far as the rebuild id say enjoy it for about a month and tear it down. Once you start to band-aid it there is no telling what you might run in to so I'd commit to the full treatment.
Regasket for a peace of mind, do not rip the damn engine apart! Enjoy the car! Also, i would prefer the wheels that cane with the car, but that’s up to you. I jus wanna see you enjoy the car.
If you’re going to re gasket it your technically pulling it apart, sump/oil pan off, head off? Might aswell build it, rip it in bits. Build it then thrash the living hell out of it
Love the new Supra on the channel! Would definitely like to see it torn into and built up with the Jimmy O special! Also love the weds on the car gives it that different look.
It's just a couple more months until winter (for y'all NE bois anyway), so I say enjoy the car in its current state. Just don't send it too much haha. Once winter fully arrives, tear the whole thing down and do the usual JimmySpec overhaul to really pull the full potential out of this beast!
Nice safe tune i would put a bore scope down in the cylinder see if the pistons are aftermarket. Or pull the oil pan off see if bottom is built regasket it. The Serbs are 🔥 on the supra rebarrel fronts enjoy the car build it in the winter. Seats look way better without the harnesses also the nardi wheel with red stitch needs to go in. Love the channel just picked up a 04 325i and a 00 323i want to build a drift car lol. Keep up with the great content 🤘
Paint the front lip, change the wheels and lower the rear and drive it for summer 🙏🏻 just enjoy it before you pull it apart and it sits for six months 💪🏻

100% just get to work on it. Supra building content > driving content but a lot. You gotta build up the hype for the driving videos to do good. And you have a lot of sweet cars to drive around for now. But even not considering the views you will enjoy the drive so much more if you put your work in now and you’ll be sayin, “man, I’m glad I decided to just build this” very soon
Why dont you just do the external aesthetic mods (ie; front bumper, targa, wheels, maybe some new coils, exhaust etc) that way you can wrench on it a little now and get it super prepped for the winter when you do the engine cleanup/bay etc
Opinion.... Swap the wheels and put the supra wheels on the coup and don't take it apart but lower the tune/HP to 500 and you will be good!! so it lives through the summer and looks good
I originally thought he should go nuts with it and tear it apart but you make a good point, up north you have to remember half the year all you can do is tear the cars apart because you can't drive them in the snow lol.
Hey Jimmy, I watch all your vids man and I love them. So happy to see you have a supra. My vote is, go ahead and work on it and enjoy the kouki that you just finished.
Jimmy, enjoy the car, this winter give the engine a good once over, replace/repaint the bumper and targa and give it the Jimmy touch and enjoy it. You and I have very different taste in wheels tho...
Definitely keep the Serbs on the mark 4 they look great on it and enjoy the car a little more then do the bay and regasket the engine and get that lip looking correctly
Honestly I would say enjoy it for the rest of the nice weather months then tear into it. Also if it does come apart just make sure it’s on camera because that video would BANG!!!! Either way I can’t wait to see what’s in store
Slam it on cerbs and daily it! Honestly though, enjoy the car as is for just a few months. Learn exactly what it needs, and what it doesn't need as far as daily-ability. When the first nip of cold arrives, rip the thing apart and get it right!
pressure wash the engine and the underneath see where's its coming from the most, probably the oil pan and rocker cover, check there's no sneaky leaks and fix the rest later and send it ..
lets do it the jimmy way!, work on it and iron out all the uncertainties, cant go wrong with supra build content. and furthermore on jimmy oakes channel :D
My take is just have your fun in the car so you don't have to wait till next year to rip it and show it. The Supra is a killer car and seems healthy enough to rage for a summer. Also yes yes and hell yes to the serps.
The answer here is simple. Just drive the darn thing. Develop the plan in the mean time, gather the parts, and when the off season arrives you can do a whole series on the ol girl.
id say, do the gaskets, clean up all that grease/oil, and MAYBE check the bottom end. but you definitely shouldn't go all in on a tear-down, i wanna see more videos of this car driving before winter
I vote put the coupe wheels on and rip the engine out fix all the leaks and do a once over on the body there’s always next summer I reckon driving on a fresh setup will be so much more rewarding
