@@IsachzuWell this particular version there would not be to massive waves of watter coming from both sides so it's not to hard to survive if you can hold your breath at least 1 minute on land.
I know what’s inside there. Firstly this wasn’t really a sewer system however it’s a stormwater management system, what you’d expect to see is every few meters manhole covers and lateral pipes that join into that main drain, and it will shrink smaller and smaller (the diameter of the line will be getting bigger to hydraulically accommodate the water quantities with more and more lateral pipes the closer you walk to that gate)
Not a sewage tunnel, it's stormwater culvert. You wouldn't want to be exploring a culvert used for sewage, it'd be gross af. I'm still curious where that culvert goes, did you really walk 'miles'? As a civil engineer it's hard for me to imagine it being budget-friendly to build such a long culvert instead of a simple ditch unless you're in a densely populated area. Also, when you lifted the grate and asked "is it supposed to be that easy," the answer is yes, it is supposed to be that easy! That metal hinged grate is designed to lift up in case debris get stuck behind it. This prevents the culvert from getting blocked up.

Not that you care but this isn’t a sewage tunnel, it’s a runoff storm drain. Sewage would have constant water and probably smell pretty strong, while in this instance this is dry because there was no water or rain.
my friends and i used to crouch through one of these behind a park by his house. it opened up into a sort of hidden area. we used to smoke and drink there. one of those places to go "with the boys" just like u guys are hanging out rn. that was over 10 years ago. ❤
When I was younger there use to be a drainage tunnel that was smaller than this one and made out of concrete that we would crawl through everyday because it was near our school.
Me and my friends go through this storm drain all the time and it is pretty clean. I mean, we rarely see spiders. Last time we went in it we saw 2 and it is abiut 1000 feet long.
Nah it'll lose connection. I explore these things all the time and you gotta go in yourself. Get a skateboard with off-road wheels and that helps a lot
When I was a kid we did we nearly got stuck ... A factory worker called good police ..they came and pointed at a massive opening point said that opens and fills at any time get out ... We didn't get in trouble the valve opens not with clean water they said it was really bad mud down there
I have a sewage tunnel in my backyard and I remember entering it with my older sister in her friends when i was like 4. I dont remember much, i think we found a raccoon in there? Anyway cant believe i did that at 4 cause i wouldnt do it now 💀
Ok so fun story When I was 13 I decided I wanted to explore the sewers (because in the scooby doo movie scooby doo stage fright the gang enters the sewers) basically my adventures stubborn butt wanted to see what was down there I was with my friends they tried to warn me that this was a bad idea but my stubborn butt was like “oh it’ll be fine relax” so we crawled into the drain pipe we didn’t get very far tho we got like half way we were kinda stuck so we cried out for help My mom eventually found us as she was already looking for us once she heard us in the pipe she was not happy she told us to shimmy our way out so we did that After that my mom told my friends to go home and my mom took me inside to give me a bath to get the spider webs out of my hair I do still feel guilty of that whole situation like I led my friends into danger sure I was only 13 but I still feel bad about None of us got hurt but still stupid decision So the lesson here is don’t crawl into drain pipes no matter how advantageous and stubborn you are
