If you order a new frame from Yamaha they don’t come stamped you have to have it done, if he had that frame powder coated it will also cover the vin, a lot of places after sand blast leave the vin bare metal and clean over it to make it safe from rust

I have looked at the truck that this guy dropped the bike off on and also the black truck used when they tried breaking into your shop. The lights are the same, it’s a crew cab. The silver on the tailgate you can’t see at night and on the cctv because it’s dark. They removed the bed cover so they could load up the bike. I work on trucks I am very confident it’s the same truck model. Look at the rear lights pattern, look at the drivers height it’s similar to the guy who tried suing you. Also he wanted his bike that was in your shop, he knew you was in jail. Someone said it’s a different truck, it’s not.

Sending it to the tow yard is a dumb idea! Listen to how it works. Give him a timeframe to pay it. If he does not pay it within the timeframe you give him, put the bike up for sale. When it sells take whatever labor costs he owes you, add holding fees for how long it’s been in your shop, and give him whatever is left. You gotta get your bread regardless. Specify to any potential buyer that it was left in your shop and you have no paperwork for it.They buy at their own risk. Shoot, let me get a payment plan. I’ll come pick it up my dam self or even show you where I live. I’m in Florida as well. 🤗

The bike could still not be stolen, Some Racing aftermarket dirt bike and ATV frames are sold without vent numbers, Now if you can determine this is the stock frame and there's no serial numbers, then it is stolen, If the engine and frame has no vin numbers then it's probably stolen , If it's an aftermarket frame the engine should still have numbers, you can also buy new engine cases with no numbers, So anythings possible, I would assume stolen until proven different,
