This directness is starting to make me think are we mastering and practicing a new tactic in order to get ready for a bigger physical striker maybe like a sesko a freak of nature, when we have to rotate havertz 🤔 sesko is young and doesn’t have to start every game are we trying to be more flexible if one attack is not working?

i think the shift to going long alot more than usual is because of odegaards injury and how crucial he is to our build up, once hes back i think the numbers will look more like last season

that’s exactly why the shift happened bc he’s so key to our build up that’s why we are seeing all the stats change! we obviously not struggling without him but he is in the middle of our possession so it will change how we play.

What Arteta also realises is that is better to learn one new thing well and consolidate it before moving on to the next lesson. That means you can successfully add the new layers rather than overwhelm players by trying to change too much at once.
