Good day. I’m biased because I’m a farmer, but I love this one. More market tours, even roadside stands. I love to see the different produce. It’s all under the umbrella of ital/ ras kitchen. Good show today Mathew. Bless
For me this is one of the best episodes, when you hear that the palate of Jamaicans is changing in the past 10 years you can see why. What sincerely hope is that down folks are able to be apart of this movement. What I am noticing though is that the Caribbean generally is becoming a place of healing.
Matthew, thank you for this video because on my next visit to Jamaica, I plan to visit the organic market and eat at the restaurant. The vendors are very knowledgeable. I am saving this on my favorite list 🇯🇲
Oh man that market looked like it was full of good vibes, lil bit of hustle and bustle energy. It was nice to see the chef again, definitely wouldn't mind seeing you enjoy another course of her cuisine. Big Up.
and keep me up on growing organic style it goess beyond music it starts with what you put into yourself and how. so thank you again and please thank her very much her presentation was beyond excellent
I enjoyed listening to Marianne. She's so knowledgeable and has a passion for what she does. The market is a well kept secret. I live on the North coast so I do miss the Kingston vibes. That's my birthplace 😊. Thanks Matthew for very interesting morning. Just wish I could be there.
Whoooo this is a nice organic market and this lady is very helpful thanks for taking us with you Matt, java plum us very good for lots of things i just made some juice with tangerine and it was nice i cant wait to come home to shop in that market big up Matt yes the flowers can be eaten
All the juices were frozen, so the juice as you drank it, I believe, would be a bit more concentrated in thickness, sweetness and flavor. But later, when you finish it after it's melted, you get a still cool but more drinkable and refreshing experience. A perfect two in one.
This is a very interesting and informative video. Proud of Jamaica that we are leading in the organic food industry. I like Marianna. Thanks for sharing.
my great grandmother used to use concentrate orange juice for the sweet potatoes no sugar no nothin. sweet to see/hear shes rockin the sweet potatos from asia im seeing eating the greens...
Maui no Ka oi🤙🏽 I bought a jackfruit one time when I lived out there years ago and it was the most disgusting thing I ever brought into my home and we had no idea what to do with it, so it was a hot, sticky mess and smelled like hell😂😂😂😂😂 I can’t believe anyone would eat this ! Different strokes for different folks1❤️

I went to Marianna's Kitchen on my last trip to JA and I was really happy with my meal. It was very unique vegan cuisine.. I'm little sad to find out that she recently closed her restaurant and moved back home...
Pure madness. An organic market in jamaica a caribbean island and no other around. All food grown in any caribbean island should be organic. So the question is. Who betrayed the land and the people? Thanks for the vid Matthew. Food looks amazing.
The government did betray the land by allowing these God forsaken multinational companies to contaminate our soil with their poisonous seeds and toxic fertilizers. Our beautiful original seeds are gone. I can't even grow tomatoes and pumpkin naturally anymore. I used to just throw the seeds in the earth and watch them grow... no more. We should find a way to take them to court for ruining our food source in Jamaica.
Yes kind of surprising is the only one! Officially anyway, Very possible there's some small local ones from local producers that are organic, just not certified 🙌
@@idbrooklynbaadgirl8754some of us prefer knowing and buying Jamaican food the way it used to be❤ before Monsanto chemical fertilization and gmo. We can trust many of the food been sold picked prematurely then forced ripen. We have option so its great for those who think it's important
@@AnastasiaLUVSUwe do have many other islanders among us 😅some came for a short time and never left Guyanese;Bajan;Trini; St Lucea many marry Jamaican.this is just short list
Matthew. I have followed you from day day one. I am sorry for your separation from Mokko. I want you to know that this VLOG is ON THE ONE ! Marianna is very aware of her profession which from that comes knowledge of organic products. This is as refreshing as Pink Ginger!
Despite being high in Vitamin C, the traditional way of preparing sorrel involves boiling it for a while. This mode of preparation would destroy most, if not all, of the vitamin C.
@@beverleymcghie787That's how I always do sorrel. Those are like honey bananas, have to be well ripe otherwise they taste stainy. Haven't seen black bananas in years, now that I know the market's on Saturdays, must be there. Glad I watched. Thax Mat.
Matthew I love your content, awesome editing too but please take off auto cc it's distracting and not required. I take it off but it returns after ads.
Actually sweet potatoes are white/yellow in colour and the orange ones are yams..it’s a common mistake so many people have adopted that the yam has almost become redefined by it.
I find it hard to believe that for 10 years I lived down the road on Old Hope rd, and this is the first time I am hearing about this market. Unbelievable
Gimbelin is smaller and sour. I used to pick them near the roadside on my way from school. You mostly find them in Kingston. Star fruit is popular in the country but I'm sure Kingston would have it too. Kingston has everything. Love me some Kingston. Fond memories 😊
