Everything is great except for charging US$ 6-7 for a tea pot, unless it's supreme quality as BOP. Not sure whether it's in August you are in Kandy. If around 26 onwards DO NOT 😅 miss Kandy festival which is one of the most colourful, BEAUTIFUL and historical events in the world, dating back to 3rd century BC. One of the oldest extant rituals in all of Asia. Stay safe and enjoy. 😊
Ill give you some tips as a local. Hustlers are usually roaming about at touristy places and major cities. Everywhere else if a stranger comes to help they are probably genuine. If you think someone is a hustler then, don’t speak, dont stop, look ahead and walk forward. If they continue to pester u shake your head and say no. Thats it. Then theyll go. Usually in the countryside you will find genuine people trying to help you without looking for money. If you want any help anywhere, ask a local tourist, theyll help. Dont ask help from vendors and tuk tuk drivers
Hello Brad and Tash. Nice to see you in Kandy. If you want to drink nice Ceylon tea( sri lankan tea) just go to a local restaurant and one cup of nice tea is about less than Rs.200 ( US$ 0.60 cents) do not drink tea in big hotels . they are expensive.
