A few years ago I found lots of photos on pinterest of them building the cottage. It was inspired by a real cottage called Honeysuckle Cottage in Holmbury St Mary. There even was detailed plans of it. Gutted to see It wasn't a real cottage, however I have a copy of the building plans. Maybe one day , I'll buy the exact field and build it from scratch..

They built that cottage in like two weeks! It wasn’t a real cottage although it fooled the whole world into thinking it was an actual home for purchase! There’s a similar cottage down the road but it’s owned by a family! Iris and Amanda’s scenes were filmed at a soundstage in Los Angeles!

It was a set built for the movie. There actually isn't a house.

It's best to do your research before you go. Such a shame to read it was torn down. Maybe the council/ farmers wanted their land back

should of done your research, a true film buff knows iy was made of plywood and polystyrene, the inside of the cottage are hollywood studio sets, yes filmed in the USA
