I am kind of sad because I hated this game whenever it was in preview and now it's fully released and I hate that people have dogged on it cuz it's actually a really good game I feel like it's for those who are just starting skate games and want to move up to like skater XL cuz I am still trying to get skater XL this game is actually good like it has good physics realistic
I have a preferred setup, but I will end up changing certain settings to make tricks more viable. Stuff like crouch bank and body rotation, and some others are fair game, but high pop height is usually the last thing I'll change, unless it's for one of my DIYs. Realism is great, but sometimes you just wanna do crazy things only possible in a video game.
I don't even play this game but holy crap do these settings look good. Has so much more weight to it than floaty Skater XL does. I like how you actually compared real footage to the game and adjusted to match unlike other guys who just go with what they "think" is realistic. Sad I can't play this game since my laptop is probably too weak, and I don't have a up to date console either.
i dunno either lmao i just never really had a problem with accidentally reverting while making adjustments. i usually accidentally revert if i panic and start mashing triggers :P having the sensitivity at full started as a loke to get the skater dance moves but i ended up really liking the setting
Hot damn, JL! I've been playing with the advanced settings for a while as it always felt a bit 'off' and could never get it to feel right. Stole these settings and it feels much smother and much better. Thanks for taking the time with this vid, dude!
I’ve been changing settings for a few weeks now… I’m going to try your settings for at least a week and see how it feels. I find my pop height isn’t realistic but reducing it or adding gravity makes it nearly impossible to get on tall ledges or pop over flat rails
Imagine being able to switch the presets mid gameplay. Like pressing LB with a selection wheel appearing just like in GTA when selecting a weapon. Stats wheel, that would be cool. I can’t play Session yet so maybe this one is already in the game. This way you could easily adapt your gameplay to specific spots on demand
I hope they pull everything off they're trying to do with this game... I especially can't wait to see some legit transition physics... then it's game Over!
"Big Drop is broken" - i have it turned on.. is that why it messes with my catches when body rotations are included? I always thought it was because Goofy was broken :O
I use default settings when skating around and then change accordingly to what I'm skating. Like if I'm doing a big gap I'll increase the speed or if I'm skating a high ledge I'll adjust the pop height.
Pretty much yeah. Maybe a few changes. Theres a slightly updated video but ngl it’s almost exact to this one 🤣 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZKPrx-4MPXM.htmlsi=L0hKpWuyabwzoq3u I do have Sync Flips / Scoops off now tho. You can also see my settings in the description of my videos (newest videos on the channel have the most recent stats)
Copied these settings exactly and cannot do a nose Manny to Nollie Flip anymore. I am playing V1.0 The low pop/Manny pop height settings make it feel like your character just started skating yesterday.
You can pop higher out of manuals by pulling the manual stick all the way down (or up) right before you pop to get higher. The manual pop height slider just controls the height when popping from balance position
DAWG! I take too much acid for this. If I make myself how I skate in this game compared to real life and I know one day I'm going to get confused and die 😂😂😂
That’s just the lowest it will pop, you can still pop everywhere between lowest and highest. It all depends on how long you hold down the back foot stick
@@JLNightmare No, what they mean is the game has three basic pop heights (plus in between low and high). There's low low ollie (shitty ollie) if you flick both sticks down, then low pop, and then high pop. So with your low pop set that low, it defeats the purpose of the extra low pop that's built in.
@@jeffg492 i know that they mean :P but you've always been able to control the pop height with normal ollie input. you get a low ollie by flicking the input fast.. Or flicking front foot down.. shitty ollie and a regular low ollie are exactly the same. I dont think Shitty ollie was even supposed to be a thing cause when i was doing tutorials on how to low pop out of manuals / grinds and i mentioned to the devs that i was able to get low pop by pushing down on front foot... Marc was like " that shouldnt be the case.." so i think they threw on the Shitty Ollie name and kept it there. Either way, your lowest possible pop should be very low anyways
"My back truck is a little bit looser front truck is a little bit tighter" - Daewon Song does not approves this statement Great video bro, gonna test those settings tomorow, just coming from SkaterXL
These settings don't work i feel like a rock trying to skate and it takes me over 45 minutes just to do a crooked on a box! I really liked session but it doesn't have that flow feeling definitely not playing this game for a while
Did you know after a flip trick if you push your stick very quickly in a direction you'll almost instantly orient your board for a grind? I didn't know that for the longest time. Doesn't event matter what your board orientation speed is. Think it might work better than using no release imo
just a headsup: with these settings quick shove its were completely broken for me. 90% of the time the board would just spin off to the side. i think it was the combination of settings used for low/high pop and gravity? which i guess makes sense since the pop is set so low the quick shove it probably doesn't complete adjusting the pop height and/or gravity fixes it.
My only problem with the new patch is that i can't do regular straight ollies, I've tried changing settings, doing the input slower but I always get super boned ollies. Anyone can help with that?
... this is just the Beginning of the game dude lol There’s going to be so many more updates that fix everything over time. the devs aren’t going to leave it like this.
@@JLNightmare i watched ur garrett video shit helped so much .. one other question now that I got the hang of this .. I did a challenge .. well I thought I was 10 down the 10 .. but I did use the unlock everything setting so does that mess up ur weekly challenges and stuff?
@@JLNightmare I'm sure gravity means something entirely different in the game than it does in real life... for good reasons... I've only just started realising how much session really takes actual physics into account and still somehow works as a game... it's impressive.. a really impressive sim
@@JLNightmare your tre flips really good mine aren't vertical when u did a tre when u tried ur stats your tre/360 flip looked son good mine look all bad and wierd do u have any tips pls answer sorry i answerd late at 17:02
It’s all about the flick actually. This example will be Regular Stance: if you flick the front foot straight to the left, you’ll get a horizontal/ normal looking tre. If you flick diagonally Up Left- you’ll get a more vertical tre. If you flick Diagonally Down Left you’ll get a more rocketed / weird looking tre Also keep in mind you should have scoop / flip sync ON cause with it off it doesn’t work properly yet
