Can I also say Christian got me with them nap dates, reading picnic under the tree, hair washing and learning to give a massage. Now this right here is the kind of man you wake up at 2am to make a meal for when he comes home from a trip. 🤣🤣🤣. Jokes aside a man who is intentional about being a great partner, serving his mate deserves a woman who reciprocates. Both pouring into each other. ❤
That kind of a man is what I would call "the love of my life", make room on those coals for me, I would want on them too. Trying to out do each other doing good things for each other. Yes😊
He keeps saying that without giving credit to Essence Atkins who was on this channel and said it. If you watch her interview on here, she was the one who expressed that about her own life and being famous. In all fairness, he really should be saying “as my friend, Essence Atkins once said here .....”
Christian Keyes is a rare gem! He is not egotistical and he is not out looking for a “trophy” woman. He wants real love, something authentic and something genuine. He is humble and had a good head. He will create a sphere for his wife to be healed, to evolve and to be better than she was.. why? Because a emotional mature man can create a sphere for a creative woman to flourish. ✨ Christian Keyes is calling his gift “energy” but NO, he is prophetic. Let’s call it what it is. He is prophetic and he has the spirit of discerning of spirits. Energy is real, but there are some spiritual gifts that God is going to unlock within him. 👏🏾👏🏾
The woman that marries Mr. Keyes will be a blessed woman. He is the complete package...Godly, funny, self aware, smart, and absolutely gorgeous 😍 The definition that he gave for "being in love"...omg. I almost lost it. So deep💝
@@areyoufreeenough1372 yes God is definitely preparing his future wife indeed!! They are both being prepared for each other. God bless their future marriage🙏🏾🙏🏾
It’s feels empty to be seen by millions if your not seen by the one!! I felt that ! So real !! Thank you for this podcast! I’m still a hopeful romantic!
I’m FLOORED. In love is like home…being home. 3 months ago God gave that word to me. He said he will be ‘home’ to you. I’ve never heard that before. Glory. I’m crying. 57:28
He lead me to look up what is the meaning of home. What I found he said now apply that to your husband. That’s how it should feel. Sense of peace, comfort, safety, loved, accepted, etc.
I just want to say that Christian is saying everything that I’ve always wanted in a partner. Idk if I’ll ever meet him but knowing that this kind of men exist, and is seeking a woman like me… I’ve seen what you’ve done for others, Lord!
Being cheated on is so hard to recover from and it makes it so hard to love and receive love from somebody who actually has no intentions on hurting you. I wish more people would think about the damage that this behavior causes to the person being cheated on. Kudos to Christian for being an outstanding guy!
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS. Sometimes as women we think men don’t have a hard time finding their special someone. So to see and hear the story of a man who is successful and handsome still looking for the one, I don’t feel like hope is lost because it’s not just us women. Lord send us our Special person! This podcast is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
As a woman who is embracing her fears and vulnerabilities and loves to learn, to grow and to transform her life, her organization and the world, it is nice to be reminded that whole Black men are willing to embrace the imperfectly, perfect me in a mutually accountable, authentic and reciprocal loving relationship. Thank you for doing the work to being your fullest selves.
Christian Keyes has been a favorite of mine for years. I could literally just sit and listen to him all day , whether he's talking or singing. The genuineness of heart and spirit just effortlessly oozes from him wherever he is . Thank you for having him on your podcast.
I was almost over the “what do men want” conversation because many men speak through unresolved trauma or low levels of perspective of their role in relationships. However this conversation wasn’t like any other I had heard. The transparency, vulnerability, and just authenticity all through out. This was a great episode! 👏🏾👏🏾 Side note: Christian may have restored my faith in lightskinned men 😅😂🤣
At 50 and single I've been told I'm too old to be picky and should just settle. I'm thankful for this episode. There are still men out there that want what I want. ❤Christian is hilarious all the time. The Babyface 2.0 took me out. 😂😂😂
I'm 63, and I almost settled at age 60. But I'd rather be alone than settle. He ended the relationship, and after I got past the hurt, I had to thank God.
Thank you all. Trust I wasn’t raised to be on anyone’s mark down shelf. Being single at 50 hasn’t tainted my view of Love and Marriage. What God has for me has always been for me. This episode just proves me right. Men do desire just one woman to love 💗
I have been single and totally abstaining sex for 16 years. I totally love the honesty, thoughtfulness, and transparency from grown and mature men. I needed to hear this. I shared this with my two single and abstaining daughters and my single cousin. It's the covering in prayer for me. Continue to allow GOD to use you both. PRAISE GOD ALMIGHTY! 🙏🏾🥰
Hello, my sister in Christ. I'm so proud of you for being abstinent 16yrs! That's truly encouraging to me. I've been abstinent 10yrs. I look forward to the day when God blesses me with my Boaz. I pray that he will send Boaz to you & your daughters as well. God bless.🙏🏽
I’ve watched this 3 times! I adore Christian. Something about him is so pure. Encouraging to know there are men out there like this that are mature and don’t play games❤
I thank you so much for showing good women who sometimes get discouraged that there are still good God fearing men out here who desire their person! ❤❤❤
@@seedofabraham0149 I never said I didn’t know this I’ve seen good men. I clearly simply said thank you for showing it because sometimes good women get discouraged 🫤 because good men are hard for some of us to find.
Amen people always say men's look like him are dog well that's a lie because seeing this interview going change lot people minds because can't judge a book by his cover he definitely is a husband mati
Godly, prayerful, self-aware, teachable, wise, responsible, funny, fun, kind, romantic, thoughtful, attentive, intentional, purposeful beautiful black men of integrity. Both host and guest. This was such a great conversation. So inspiring and encouraging. Many gems & lessons dropped. I'm one of those that cried and laughed on this one. Christian & Laterras keep going, you are truly doing amazing.
You did it again Laterras! I love this in-depth conversation with Christian Keyes. He dropped so many gems for us all. I pray that you both find your special purpose partner. ❤❤❤
I'm new to watching your podcast. I've started receiving phone calls because one of your guests spoke about my being a psychotherapist. So I came to listen, and I've been really impressed with your interviews. You're exactly what we need as Black therapists. You're making a huge impact. We need people like you to normalize therapy. So thank you, and continue doing what you're doing. - Dr. Renee
Christian said "Is it still back there" LOL These Podcast are always so refreshing and inspirational. I'm beautifully married ... 8 years this November. Watching these podcasts help me fine-tune those things necessary to keep our marriage strong! I also have single friends and family members and I find joy in sharing with them the gems I receive from your podcast. Keep up the Kingdom work Laterras! I don't have biological brothers... but Christian is my big brother in my head. lol I'm praying along with him for the wonderful woman God has instored for him to be a life long partner. I can't wait to see him back on the yellow couch to share his love story. (Some of these woman gone be BIG mad) Lemme prophesy... Lord let it happend soon! lol
Being celibate is key to healing, knowing yourself, not settling for less than what you want and being safe also, connecting with God and preserving your energy, it is only to be shared with that special kingdom person
Interesting because I once said the same thing to my ex. I told him that a relationship should feel like a vacation. I appreciate how authentic and transparent Christian Keyes is as a man and a human being. This is a man who knows what he wants. He's not hiding behind a mask of moncho, arrogance or childishness. I appreciate him for being willing to expose his true self and his true heart. I thank him so much for being brave enough to let other men know that it's okay to show your emotions and express love. His contributions are priceless🙏🏿
I’ve NEVER heard SINGLE men speak of love in a way I as a single woman desire to give and receive love! I literally show up EVERY week and sometimes repeat just to see what wisdom my big brother is pouring into me this week! I feel like it’s my weekly visit to your house and you have friends over🤣, WOW! (You’re only a year or so older than me, but you get my sentiment🤣)
Christian “gets it!” He just gets what real love is about! He masculine, but he is also just enough in touch with his feminine side that he knows how to nurture the wants & needs of a woman. Only a special “healed” woman could appreciate that level of quality! This is quality!! It’s hard for people to know how to take empaths. Why… because most people aren’t healed & they feel seen by this other human, & they are afraid of what will be seen. Christian, you are rare & I hope that you find your energetic match.
Omg I just love him.. He’s honest, romantic, respectful, has a sense of humor and definitely knows how to make a woman feel appreciated and like a Queen ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊. Write a book and help these fellas out!
This man is the real thing as a man. He is so rare and special. I love his philosophy on how to treat a woman. This is one of God's highly favored. And good luck to the special woman he finds that will treasure this man's man of a true gem. I love it. ❤❤❤
Christian Keyes!!!!!!!!’ Wow!! God gave Ruth a HOME! You just changed my whole understanding! Naomi said “Your husband will give you REST, SUCCESS and a HOME”-- this is spiritual! Rest for your soul, success for your emotions and a home to LOVE! Geesh when GOD gives us LOVE we don’t have to seek anymore. Our body, soul and spirits can REST in each other and in HIM. Thus, restoring the “Garden of Eden” ✨👏🏾
Speak!!!!! I was a hopeless romantic and 5 years ago I changed it to HopeFUL!!!! Y’all are speaking my language on this episode! I love LOVE and I am just smiling through this episode my heart is warm!!!!!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Whomever becomes Christian's future wife, will be one lucky woman. He's everything a woman wants. Normally black men don't express themselves in this way. This is very refreshing to see.
One of the things I love about your podcast is that you bring ppl we already support on here and allow us to get to know them a lil bit better. It's such a blessing.
I told my sister this is going to make me cry… and it did!! It’s a strange feeling when you hear others articulate the very things you’ve asked in prayer. Thanks God bless you both 🙏🏽 Keep up the great work
A lot a women just look at Christian on the outside and say “ he’s what I want” , but the connection he wants, most women won’t be able to understand unless they are wanting the same thing.. I’m not physical attracted to a man until I know where he stands with God first ( celibate 13 yrs) now. Christian has a spirit of conviction which most men don’t have and some men don’t see their faults until much later. God , love and forgiveness is the root of a long happy marriage ( not just material things). God bless you Christian, I hope God helps you to find that covenant marriage that will bring much happiness, even through the rocky times. 😇🎁🙏🏽
Christian is one of those guest who have truly become family. Everytime he's on I'm like "HEY! ITS CHRISTIAN!!😂" Like he just walked in the house and we hadn't seen him for a while. I love their friendship and to see LT laugh so freely.😂❤
Love this podcast. Christian has a great sense humor and so wise. So thoughtful and I pray the lord blesses him with someone deserving of such a beautiful spirit.
Christian is always a treat to watch. Praying for him & all of us to find our purpose partners asap!! We only get one rodeo so settling isn’t an option. Come on Jesus 😆🙏🏾. Blessings ❤️💜
I just watched Christian’s original interview again this past weekend, I’m excited he’s back again! I enjoy his conversation. With all of his success he’s still so grounded and I love that..
I haven't started the video yet but Christian is one of my top 5 actors. I've watched numerous interviews & he has such an amazing story of beating the odds. He's incredibly talented & humble too. I'm rooting for him to WIN ALL THE TIME.
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode with Christian. I try my best not to get absorbed into the lives of celebrities based on what is publicly presented, and this episode helped me see him as a person and not just as an unrelatable actor. Its a blessing to see his comfort of being transparent just enough to share who he really is in the entertainment industry.
It's so encouraging as a woman to hear two good men talking about how they can pray for and with their partner. Thank you for sharing how you're letting God guide you in your search for your future relationship.
This was really good. I started watching because of the reel on IG, but ended up watching the whole thing because of the gems, jokes, authenticity and transparency shared by Christian. Well done!
Christian is hilarious and deep at the same time!! Loved how he defined loving someone vs being in love with someone. He hit the nail on the head. Hope he finds his person. I'm waiting for my person too.
It was beautiful and awesome to watch you two godly men saying what a lot of godly women need to hear…that there are high caliber men that desire commitment, marriage and PURPOSE! May you both receive the desires of your heart according to God’s will. Thanks again, Laterras, you’re definitely changing the “landscape”!❤️
This was a refreshing interview!! It’s great to hear two bachelors express a desire to BE IN LOVE (difference noted😊) with The One. Christian’s song is touching & I can imagine it being an engagement and wedding song for many!! 🙏🏾May God bless you both with your heart’s desires.🙏🏾
Loved this episode! It restored my faith in love just a little bit 😊. Many blessings to Christian Keyes finding that special one to be under that veil.👰🏾♂️🤵🏽♂️
Yes! One of my favs Christian Keyes on my fav podcast!!!! One of Michigan’s finest!!!! 💙💛💚🤍 Amazing episode!!!!🎉🎉 May God Bless Christian, and you Laterras with the woman that God has specifically for each of you. 😇🙏🏾
When I say I'm so happy to see Christian Keyes out here KILLIN' ALL THE GAMES! I've been watching his career every since him and Ryan Gentles walked across the stage in a stage play here in DC YEARS ago! He has been solid and consistent in everything he's done. I wish him the very best! Thank you sir for another great conversation!
I love Christian, he’s so real and down to earth and it appears he has a heart of gold. I pray God sends him his person and their marriage lasts forever. Blessings to you Christian .
Another great conversation..just listening to Christian definitely puts me in the space of being a hopeful romantic..I am ready for it all nap dates..picnics..massages etc. Thanks for sharing and dropping gems we all can use. ❤❤
Love how intentional Christian is. The area of your life that God keeps blessing you in is your purpose. Powerful!! I think the people in the back felt that!!! That was for someone specifically viewing this episode. Christian said he wants love to feel like a vacation and his relationship to feel like home!!! I felt that in my core!! He just put words to what I desire in a relationship.
This kind of love is rare. It’s confirmation for me. I still believe. Shifting generations, my children’s children, children. I claim the generational blessing.
Wow! I can’t imagine asking a man for something that I can get for myself. I want him to do for me after observing me and wanting to do for me. That’s when I know it’s from his heart.
Thank you Wanda for being open to a comment. I truly hope I did not interpret your response improperly, but something came to mind after reading your response. Forgive me, but I’m not sure of your age…if you are in a relationship or if you want to be in a long standing relationship…But I did want to lend my 2cents. It may enlighten. It may not. Despite what we think and or believe as women, men are created so differently. Men do not feel, hope, believe and think as we do. Men come from a different space, place and have a different mental process when it comes to doing things in general. The saying Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus is so true. There are key differences between men and women in how we think, act & communicate so to say you hope he observes and want to do…in many cases, does not come naturally. In Some cases, perhaps. Being instinctive is often not in their make up, so that’s not a good measure of whether your man loves or cares for you. What’s in your mind is often not in his. God made us to be their help mates. We are their companions & helper. We think like women…We are nurturing, caring, thoughtful & a bit softer. Men are very simplistic. Protection and provision often comes natural, but they often need guidance when it comes to everything about us, so communication is very important. That goes for every area of the relationship. He’s not going to be able to always figure out what’s wrong or what’s needed & It’s not that he does not care…it’s just not his thing. This is where you come in. I’ve been married for 35 years & It took me a long time to learn this. Through reading, observing the married couples in my life and being disappointed here and there, I changed the way of relating to my husband. Men will not read our minds and they certainly do not think like us. I now communicate a lot. I write shot notes. I have a white board. I create a honey do list, Send texts and make sure I communicate my wants & needs. This way, he’s able to know exactly what I need. He’s happy and I am. Ive learned also to leave space for him to be a man & do his man things even though I could do them for myself. Trust me, I thought the exact same way you did in the beginning of our relationship, but after a few years of disappointment, I got a clue & it has helped immensely.
Thank you, I am a mature woman who has dated two different type of men. One was very observant and a man who didn’t pay attention to details at all, because of his selfishness. Pending aware that Man. Depending on we’re that man is in life it is possible for him to be very attentive because you matter. However, a man that has a motive which are selfish, I could see where you are coming from. Just because I’m requesting for the man to be observant. I’m not inclined to deal with the selfish man. Congratulations on 35 years of marriage you’ve been you’ve been through the peaks and valleys and now is your opportunity to rest in the fullness of the love in your marriage hallelujah!
@@jyotitaylor7022 I agree with some of what you stated and appreciate your sharing it. My question is, how are male boys achieving the traits you described, if they are only raised by females. The average black male child is born into a single parent households. How are the roles effected when so many black boys are fatherless during their youth, and struggle during adulthood?
I LOVE to hear/see men showing a wonderful friendship with each other, speak about being romantics, God, and transparency about a love. This is what we all need to see instead of toxicity 🙌🏾👏🏾❤
This was such a great episode. I was sad and dragging my feet about a failed relationship, thinking that maybe I'd made a mistake leaving and tired of starting over again in my mid 30s. The conversation that you guys had made me remember that I am worth it, not to settle, what I desire is available and God has something especially for me. I loved the point of "through certain people you hear God clearer". That is very true. I desire someone that will pray for me when I'm troubled and I desire to do the same for him. I desire someone that feels like home. This podcast was gold! Thanks for this! 😊
Currently in a new relationship and honestly feel like 2+ years of watching Dear Future Wifey and understanding better what a healthy relationship should looks like has manifested into my life a man that thinks like an avid follower, but hasn’t even watched one episode. With this episode it feels like him and Christian been sitting in a room talking before it aired. It’s a comforting feeling to be with a man that is emotionally mature and sensitive.
Still binge watching and within every episode I find, hope and peace. Kings are out there and by these Podcast my hope is increase even more. I will be 55 soon and it’s my prayer that my King honors me and finds me under the veil. Blessings on Blessings everyone. Amen
So refreshing to see and listening to mature brothers speak and talk with such respect and love for one another and others....this blessed me on so many levels...keep GOD first and giving HIM his GLORY...bless you both in your personal and professional endeavors...🥰🙏
I absolutely love Christian's gratitude for the things that GOD has and is doing in his life. I also love his sense of humor. Laterras this was such a great interview. It is so refreshing to see two grown men unashamed to talk about their desire for love. Thank you both for sharing your heart and gifts. You are appreciated!
❤ I'm so very GRATEFUL for this podcast. The world says that I'm hopeless because I'm romantic. I can't count how many times I've been told I'm foolish for expecting to meet "my person" and be in a monogamous relationship while being over 40, divorced and a mother. I've been reclaiming love for myself and forging a new path as a healthy Christian single woman who wants to be happily married. Thank you, Laterras, for blessing us with this podcast and for letting us share in your journey with honesty and vulnerability.
There are millions of women in the same situation like yourself (feel the way you do), it seems that many people tend to believe, that their situation or how they feel about things, is unique to them. This is never the case.... it's just that those people are not always on a podcast, or youtube, or TV or in your small circle of friends/family.... but believe me they are there, it is just a matter of if you are lucky enough to meet them
This was so good! So hilarious. Thank you guys. Christian was talking about discernment when he mentioned "feeling"energies. Discernment is so important. It's a gift that's much needed in these times. I'm so excited to hear their stories. As a single, Christian woman, both guys raise my hopes and optimism.
I am balling my eyes out 😭 because that what I really value in a man that can pray with power that kind of prayer that whatever is weighing me down is destroyed and I am uplifted and renewed! Praise The Lord 🙏🏻🙌🏻🎶
Been single since 2019 because I refuse to settle for less...i know what I'm worth and what I can give so I will wait for God to remember me🙏🏾🙌🏾 I loved this episode so much😍🤗. It proved to me that there is nothing wrong with having your own standards👏🏾👏🏾
Same here! It's been longer for me! I want something special! No more mess!! People think I'm mean or unrealistic! Nope! I know my worth! The love I have inside of me is for someone special! They will be able to give me the same love in return!
God has someone special for us ladies, let's hang in there and keep seeking him in the mean time he will remember us ❤🙌🏾..He has not forgotten about us 🙏🏾...Please come back here with testimonies 🤗🙌🏾❤💃🏾
Another great podcast Laterras. Christian is hilarious and seems to have a true genuineness that is not as common these days. I enjoyed having the opportunity to be in the audience for the live podcast in Atlanta; it was great
❣️ I know this man is like, Let Me Breathe.. so many valuable options probably at his feet, in his DM and in his face. Praying he continues to allow God to lead him in his decision ❣️
I'm still playing catch up with these episodes. I love this term Hopeful Romantic ❤ These young men are saying something. These older men need to listen. Not too late to learn.
God's timing is key. I'm 50 and still single. People ask me why I'm single and I tell them because God is doing a work in me. I used to choose men like my father (long story) but by the grace of God I've committed myself to be the Bride of Christ. I'm staying outta the players club. 😂 God has more for me. I feel like Ester. I was made for a time such as this.
