Thank you for this. I heard the style thing way too soon and as a result: - I tried to get my own eye-style cause no manga artist makes the same eyes. - never ever! copied pictures cause that felt like cheating. Stupid. I could have learned things so much easier and faster. I am strangely directed in my art too. I am only intrested in drawing humanoids. Ever since primary school. And only ever in pencil. Now I'm finally copying things, drawing what I see to learn how things actually work. I wish I'd started sooner. Yes this helped a lot! I can see a path for learning now.😃

Building blocks are what you build off of, I need to keep that in mind... thank you for this video! I was wondering If I was studying what I needed to, or if I was wasting my time. So now I know that I am studying effectively :)

Back in middle school art teacher is famous but he was yet still teaching us and so we learned high level stuff then in high school we got confused because it was very easy and basic and now we wanna learn more art still
