Hey Bill I watched a bunch of your videos and starting to see more of the business side of voice acting. I did not know where to start but you gave me a good idea what I should be looking for and doing at my level. Thank you for your wisdom and knowledge. I hope to meet you down road when as I grow as a voice acting. Keep spreading the business marketing tips and making good videos. I'm sure it inspires many. Be blessed and congrats to your success.

People must have found this video extremely helpful. There are currently 10 "thumbs-up" but only 6 views. Someone can't stop thump-upping it. Thank you very much for doing a video on this. You eloquently confirmed my instincts about experimenting early on to find what works, what doesn't, and then start to focus your energy on a niche (or two) once you have some experience and understanding.

Thanks so much, Bill. Some people just have that likeable personality that makes trusting easy. Your delivery about what works is clear and concise and your experience in this arena comes through in a helpful manner. I am sure your years as a college professor adds positively to the mix!

as always, Mr DeWees, you are a champion. One of my aims this year is to make it up there for a voice workshop in person...I know it's worth the time and money.

Hi Bill great advice ! I currently do voice overs across the spectrum, and "niching" within Spanish VO would be out of the question. But proper marketing into "niche" areas can certainly help in creating the proper image for the client. Regards, Dunia Silva

Love your content and I would like to start a voice over Career down the road. I know you where kind of thrown into this all at once but how Successful do you think I would be starting off getting my name out there as a part time voice over For a period of a few years and then try to branch off and to it full time down the road? Or would you suggest jumping headfirst into it Is I'm able to financially?

I say listen to your clients and agents... and the people who don't hire you and why. It's brutal honesty.I'd love to do character voices for hit cartoons...the reality is that I do well with an institutional or narrator style...but don't limit yourself. The jobs I get tend to be in narration, radio imaging, ...but I audition for a lot of work outside of that scope...one day someone will want me for that baritone cartoon voice....cheers from Cancun.

First time I knew from Gregg Bissonnette imitating various cartoon characters, well I thought Voice Over industry is only around that kind of dramatic jobs. The way I do it with the Sunday school team is using Roland Virtual Transformer, but knowing more from your videos makes me more interested in doing this kind of things. I wonder if we can produce our selves then sell them as products? So far I got the ideas that we have to wait for jobs from companies? Sorry if I am wrong or mistakenly misunderstood. Thank you for your teachings, Bill.
