I’m just gonna put this out here. I know Athena, not Aphrodite, created Medusa the Gorgon. This character is NOT Medusa. Her story was simply INSPIRED by the myth. They are the same species. Not the same character.
makes more sense but as i see patrick says too there were only three, and only one with the power of stone, but even as a greek geek ill let it pass as it's a good story
"I haven't turn to stone because your beauty is stronger than your curse!" "You know that you are facing the wall right?" "Oh yeah that too...I'm blind..."
ANTS MONTANA We read with our fingers. We have these cute electronic blind aids that translate any sighted script into Braille, as well as the other way around, which makes the reading material accessible for both sides. In fact, I am writing on one of these right now. For those of us who don't have this device, our phones, well, all smartphones, really, have this mode that, if activated, would enable the blind person to hear what's on the screen.
@@littleragdollva2548 I Stand Alone/Ich Steh Allein is definitely one of my favorite songs to sing, though I believe humans are ultimately a clannish species, not meant to be alone. Not all the time anyway!
"So, what am I adding to my stone collection today? A hunter hoping to claim a prize? A thief looking for an easy score in my crumbling estate? Or... Are you simply a fool trying to end your life by gazing upon my horrid face?" "I was on my way to the kitchen for a snack and I got lost." "You... You ended up in the island lair of a gorgon on your way to the kitchen?!" "I am not a clever man."
Gorgon: What are you?! Listener-San: I’m a human. Gordon: *Goes on a rant about how no human can see her face without turning to stone* Listener-San: Yeah, what’s your point? I can’t see anything after all.
I'm so happy to hear that you enjoy them! Thanks for giving my video a chance. Also, if you have any tips on how to write an accurate blind person, I'd love to hear them!
@@joshuaconnall4237 I use a text to speech program designed for the blind/visually impaired on my chromebook. There's lots of blind people that use text to speech programs on their phones, tablets and computers. How I was able to find this video is that I can navigate the screen with the arrow keys with a digitized voice telling me what is what. It's how I'm able to reply to this comment.
Ah, I do always enjoy audios like these. I've always had a thing for the Beauty & Beast pair trope, and a gorgon becoming friends with a human because their blindness prevents them from getting petrified is something that just fascinates me to no end. There's just something about falling in love with a conventionally unattractive creature that appeals to me, like you can see the beauty past the monster parts. Or in this case, not being able to see at all rendering the whole monster part moot, since beauty isn't necessarily always about what you look like, but also about who you are and what you do. I really enjoyed this. I look forward to seeing how this relationship develops if you decide to continue it. 😊
Did you know that the snakes slithering sound is determined by the size of their scales and by the weight of their bodies, the sound is produced by the friction of the scales with the ground when they move... the same can't be said about dragons, dragon scales are multipurposed metal armored plates to resist the elements and external damage, only dragon claws and fangs can damage them, thats why dragon scale armor and weapons are very popular among heroes and adventurers...
The amount of love I have for monster girls, especially tragic stories like hers just solidifies itself further with each rendition. This is definitely one of the more interesting and well made ones.
The voice acting in this is truly amazing, I feel like I'm actually listening to one of those old classic monster movies from the '60s, that's how good the voice acting is in this video. Especially right at the beginning. 👍👍👌👌😍😍
"What? You've never met a blind guy before?" "She may hate me, but she's not heartless" I'd argue otherwise given why Aphrodite cursed medusa to begin with. It depends on the myth, but almost all of them involve Aphrodite being a petty wretch. Not to mention how many people she's indirectly killed because of Medusa-every person Medusa kills is more blood on Aphrodite's hands. The gorgon in the video (Maera?) might not be Medusa, but she's probably in the same situation
@@Avenger_Alcides True, though I think in this video the speaker was cursed by Aphrodite rather than Athena (I think-I forget since it's been a while). Aphrodite has plenty of blood and crimes on her hands even if this gorgon wasn't created by her curse though
Mayra: "... It sounds far too noble. Like a name you would hear belonging to a prince or a king or perhaps -" Me: "A General? A Bard? Sorry though I'm not Roman nor a Singer."
I cannot find many blind listener asmr rp but i think it is a perfect set up for asmr because we can only hear what is happening I would love to find more
I have been waiting for this and I can say it was well worth it! You really outdid yourself with the acting this time and the story is very intriguing. Incredible work.
Now thisssss, was interessssting. Yeah, I know, that was bad. But seriously, the premise is a good one. A blind listener is suddenly the first real social interaction she's had in a tragically long time. Just goes to show you, the Greek Gods were a bunch of jerks and whimsical manchildren. ...If the Greek Pantheon were real, I'd also have been fried inside out just for typing that because they're all exactly that petty. Thanks for the audio, Ragdoll.
Just saw the title and that is such a cool concept, now I wonder if there were any Greek heroes that were immune to Medusa's stare because they were blind
What if this is secretly part of the LycanBeast canon and the LycanBeasts are a species of humans that are cursed by the gods? Ngl this channel is awesome and I can’t wait for more!
@@littleragdollva2548 I know I know, I was just joking around and throwing in a crackpot theory. I love your videos, wouldn’t want to ruin them by trying to connect em all. Keep up the amazing work!
@@DJStriker106 Don't worry, you wouldn't ruin it. Honestly, I love how people find the connections between the videos or come up with AU theories. It just reminds me how imaginative you guys are!
The gorgon Medusa was a former priestess of Athena who banged Poseidon in Athena’s temple and got cursed to turn any man who saw her face to turn to stone and women are unable to enter Medusas lair
This is an amazing take on a gorgon story. I love it. 😄🥰 Another wonderful and soothing audio this is. Thank you, LittleRagdoll. ☺🥰❤💐 Will this be a series as well? 🙏🥺
Ok this is just making me feel more sorry for Medusa. She was punished for being a victim. Tell me I am not the only one who feels sorry for her and desires her justice ❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢
Hera and Athena laughing at the irony of the situation: haven't seen your plans backfire this bad since Helen of Troy everyone's still pissed about that by the way
I don’t mean to be that one know it all Greek Mythology person in the chat, but my nerd side just wanted to clarify that Athena was the name of the goddess that cursed Medusa not Aphrodite. Again, not trying to ruin the moment for anyone😅🥰 I Throughly enjoyed your audio👏👏👏
Why do I always find stuff that I want to be series right when it comes out comes out now I gotta wait like this is Netflix but i love this so much 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"I genuinely believe myself to be a peaceful man. But ever since that fateful day, I've had a yearning for revenge. If I were to punish her, I'd personally gouge those eyes of her out, so she may live out the rest of her days as blind as me."
Thanks for finally making the vid, Ragdoll, now you won’t have to put up with me complaining about it. Now I can complain about Tsundere Soldier part 3, HA!
@@littleragdollva2548 Your welcome, as one of longer time viewers, its my job to nitpick and make sure you keep your promises in check. Remember the BNHA OC/voiceover you said you'd do?
Hmmm.. This was interesting. And I'm curioes what's you gonna do with this gorgone. Especially with her "somewhat carring, somewhat bloodthirsty" personality. All tho I wanna ask, why Aphrodite? I had heard of bouth versions of Medusa/Gorgons story. And in neither of them, she had nothing to do with it. Gods like maybe Hera, Atena, Poseidon sure. But Aphrodite? Why?
Mayra, I might not be able to see your face, but your beauty. Is as clear as day, I will be your companion, if you wish. Or I will simply find a safe spot on the island and stay there out of your way
