Thanks for the sample of play. I think this would fit in my category of light games. Going to wait for a sale on this one is a little high for what you get. Maybe I will add it to my Christmas 2023 list.
I can see that. I would say it is a little more on the medium category from a solo because I have yet to reach the bottom of the score requirement for a low win so playing well means you have to make some very key moves that may not be completely obvious. I do agree that Rio Grande games seem to be $20 higher in price than what they need to be.
thank you for the review? how's the replayability in this game? I understand it partially comes from the display of cards... but anything else that helps make this less samey?
The cards are the main thing. I have yet to win the solo game by scoring over 700. How you decide to build your engine has a big impact on how the game flows as well. But when it comes down to it, the hand of cards you get dealt is the only random factor in the game. That is not an issue to me and I have really enjoyed my plays of this one and not gotten tired of it.
