I won't jump on the bandwagon.............actually why not? What a 'fantastic' location, you got some fantastic images. It's a shame there isn't more separation between the boats but obviously they're not placed there for photography ☺
Thanks Paul, it is a fantastic location 😂 I might have to return some time, take individual photos of the boats and try to piece them together with separation.
What a "fantastic" location is mate ha ha. But no in all seriousness truly truly amazing you both certainly did it justice. Some of the best images iv seen in a long time. I just watched Steve's take on it there was some very strange erm wild life notices in his, very strange ha ha.
Thanks so much mate, it was "fantastic" glad you enjoyed it, I think I need to hine my blending skills a bit, but this is far out my comfort zone so happy with how they turned out! Odd to find chickens somewhere like that 😂
@MH Landscape Photography honestly mate I couldn't really see anything wrong with your skill truth be told. Editing like that really confuses me I'm yet to even try. Hats off too you for flying yoir drone through the gap though I'm with Steve....... no chance ha ha
Cheers mate, a little over confident hahaha, I'm bound to crash it at some point. We didn't make it in to the pub! I didn't even think about it.. wish I had now!
@@MHLandscape Really great images mate. I live 20 minutes from there and I've photographed it once! And nowhere near as good as that. Great work fella, I'm going to have to take June seriously!
@@davepeckphotography thanks mate, I was quite happy with how they turned out, but was pulling my beard out with the edit, way out of my comfort zone 🤣 "He Who Shall Not Be Named" took it upon himself to pull apart my edit in public once though... I'm sure you have nothing to worry about in June having seen your work!
@@MHLandscape And that's the level of the man. yet he can't even get a bike chain in focus. Your edits were great and I loved how you'd processed the Winskill images as well. What do you use? LR? PS? In which case focus stacking is an absolute dream. I'm sure Steve has shown you by now.
@@davepeckphotography when he did that it was the final nail in the coffin for me to be honest 🤣 I use a mixture of LR and PS, focus stacking always in PS, I do struggle with focus stacking when flowers etc are moving though.
Fantastic! 😊 video. I really enjoyed it and have subscribed. I look forward to watching more of your product. One question regarding how you processed the images to get rid of the far bank. Would you consider making a video about how you processed or give a brief explanation here? I am visiting Pin Mill next week so would be really interested to know.
Hi there, thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment, I may do a video at some point, but can't remember what I did to achieve this. It was mainly trial and error 🤣 however my good friend Steve who I was with did a video on this you will find useful. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HzPxrN6kEYQ.htmlsi=qi2c8qIgFN6YXIYG
Steve has just done an updated version for the latest changes in Photoshop you might find useful ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-whALYf0s5dQ.htmlsi=LYfeOkNW4kezUd_r
Hey Bob, thank you, I don't really have editing videos, but something I may do in the future. However my mate Steve, that I went with did a video on editing these images you may find useful. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HzPxrN6kEYQ.html
Please define ‘Fine Art Photography’ …. I’ve been doing serious photography for 40 years - never found a definition or rationale on this issue? Or is it ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’? Or is every photograph or image ‘Fine Art’? All very confusing! Good RU-vid videos, mate - like your style!
Thanks for your comment! Defining "Fine Art Photography" can be tricky, as it's more about intention and expression than a rigid set of rules. Here's my take: Fine art photography uses the camera as a tool for creative expression, aiming to evoke emotions, convey ideas, or tell stories. It goes beyond just documenting reality and focuses on the photographer's unique vision. So I guess any landscape photo where editing has been used to evoke an emotion could be considered as fine art. Ultimately, what qualifies as "fine art" can be subjective, but I'm sure your 40 years of experience definitely give you an eye for powerful imagery! And thanks for appreciating the videos, mate!
