Yeah bro…when looking for ways to differentiate yourself from other photographers, especially when shooting in studio, I think set design is one way to do that.

Portrait Masters is super critical. You have to really think out of the box to get a Gold. What do you think you’ll get?

Not sure honestly. There are a few issues with the images. The curtain actually creates an imbalance in the image. I think that’s something they might ding me on. I tried to select an image with the right emotion. I added a bit of motion blur to the curtains so I’m not sure how they’ll see that. So honestly, I’m not sure. I got a Bronze on my previous entry, so I was pushing for a silver. Not sure if it’s silver but this image was more planned and intentional than my previous, so we’ll see in April.
