Ok listen, I’m a born and raised African and I think some of you guys are not being nice. Can y’all let others have their fun. It’s an African dance obviously but it doesn’t necessarily mean others can’t enjoy it.

Why would this be wrong? Its a fu*king dance, No matter what part of the World it comes from and everyone, No matter skin colour, height or weight can enjoy dancing. If you start putting coulours on dancing You’re lost way past Saving.
I like that ppl are expressing their culture and it is really beautiful and I love African dance but I think it’s dumb that almost no one cared about it (specifically whites) until it was a trend and u could get clout from it

Some people don't like Afro dance and thought it was weird. Also many people did the gwara gwara wrong, but that's fine because they are probably new to Afro dance.

Most of these tik tokers whitewashed African moves and butchered Gwara Gwara. You can’t just do 0:13 and 0:48 or 1:44 then act as if you have impressed Africans. Like look at this guy actually taking the time to learn African moves properly 3:08. It’s awful to watch non Africans not take the time to learn our moves and play our music for clout. If you didn’t know how to do it you could have keep it short and smooth like 1:05. Instead y’all just murdered Afro Beats just to get clout and go. RIGHTTT. And you know what blows my mind each time? The fact that gwara gwara isn't even a beginner move because it needs actual rhythm and movement. Which is why it's especially hard for some, not all, oyinbo people to get the moves correct. And they look at the video before posting it and they see no flaw. @@nadiyamuse7319 I agree with you. Gwara gwara movement and rhythm isn't easy! That's why I was so surprised and disappointed when I saw oyinbo people try to do it without any proper practice. They still tried though but yeah the Africans did what they came to do. 💯
