When I grow up I wanna be like you guys🤣 mind you I'm 54 lol. Seriously I love your videos. Your daughters are the luckiest children on the planet. You guys are great!
We just got back from this resort and had an AMAZING time. Here are some points to note: The swim-up family suite is not requestable. There are a small number of family suites throughout the resort - they probably didn't anticipate the demand for it. You can book a family suite, but you will be assigned any one of these suites and they can be on any floor including the ground floor swim-up jackpot. They had AT LEAST one wedding per day while we were there. The wedding music is very loud and is either going to be at the beach or at the Sky Bar. Ironically, the excellence and finest suites which are the most expensive and closest to the beach and facilities have front row seats to this noise. We managed fine as we turned on a white noise machine but I can imagine that if you want a "quiet" sleep, you will want to avoid the units closest to the beach and where the rooms are cheaper. If you are booked in the finest club swim-ups, your hallway is also the path that loud fun-loving wedding guests will use to get back from the beach at 11pm. The hotel should put a sign or a representative at the entrance back to the hotel to remind the wedding guests to respect the other guests as there are a lot of families with early bed times sleeping in that hallway of swim-ups. That being said, I wish there was a facility where guests could party to loud music as the wedding guests get to. I was always jealous. =) All restaurants were first come first serve but the waits were non-existant early and manageable early. Wait times were visible in the app so you didn't need to visit restaurants to find out. If you did have to wait, the notification that your table was coming up was via the app so you could go about enjoying the resort until that time. We did not like the Teppanyaki - the show was good but the food was lacking and it was definitely not Japanese flavored. Our favourite family restaurant was also the Spanish restaurant Tinto & Tapas which for some reason was never full so it seems like most guests are missing out in the chase of staples like steak and seafood. We felt that the French restaurant Le Petit Plaisir was the best of the bunch but it's adult only, and we felt this was better than the club restricted restaurant Dommo. Dommo is immediately adjacent to the Excellence Club Lounge and the air fragrance in there (and through much of the resort) can be overbearing. The fragrance in Dommo overtook much of the food and did not make for an enjoyable dining experience.

Thank you so much for this! We've been looking for a modern family friendly resort in Cancun. I love that your girls are still so excited about every new experience. 💓
Great video! We’ve been here twice and do a lot of traveling. We’ve been considering doing travel vlogs/reviews, because so many people ask us for our itineraries, or where we got certain travel bags. This has definitely inspired us to start doing the same. Amazing, professional vid that actually captures the beauty of this place. Great job
Awesome video! Just discovered you guys today. I am making my first trip to Finest two weeks from tomorrow and I can't wait. Your video provided exactly what I was looking for in terms of a great review. You put me at ease with the dining options and you gave me the feel for the inside of the restaurants when it comes to the dress code. You get a Like and a Sub from me!
Sooo good, right? I feel like this show is so slept on. Season 2 was brutal and hard to watch towards the end, but tells an important part of history that most Americans have no idea ever happened. Can’t wait for season 3! I hear HBO Max has renewed it!
Yes, it's fantastic. I knew nothing about it and just stumbled upon it, very happy I did. And yes, they did renew, very happy. As far as Season 2, towards the end, that was very hard. Though thankfully it's not to that extreme (that we've seen, at least) in real life, it mirrors/echoes so much the anti-asian hate crime we see today. It's disgusting. I love that I'm an American, but the legacy of hate in this country can't be overstated, or forgotten.
Love your videos. I didn’t know about the series Warrior. It got me curious. I started watching and got hooked. I’m a Bruce Lee fan and love that his daughter keeps his legacy and was able to bring his writings to fruition. I’m from San Francisco and didn’t know the history of the Tongs. I know the series started a couple years ago but it’s never too late. I’ll catch up and be ready for season 3.
We are going there in 4 weeks. We are currently booked in finest family suites. Was hoping to get finest club suites but all seem booked. Question for you - I don't see the swim up family suites on their list. The swim-up ones are all just Junior suites. So are some of the finest club family suite swim-up?
Just want to thank you for this video. I never heard of this resort and honestly I’m not a big fan of all inclusive resorts. But after watching your video I decide to try this resort out. I must say I was blown away with everything!!! The service… Amazing. The food… fantastic!!! The drinks… delicious! The property… awesome!!! I want to try other resorts under the excellence collection but I’m worried they won’t live up to their Playa Mujeres property
I was there twice. Its nice resort for people who want just beach and relax. Not much to do there or not very like party type resort. Steak house was awesome. Ocean view it's not really a view you will be facing a pool area building roof. Overall good resort.
Just awesome vacation. My family and myself had been to one of Mexico All-Inclusiive resort, but not to Finest Playa Mujeres All-Inclusive resort. We will make plans to visit. Thanks for sharing.
This resort appears to be absolutely beautiful. I definitely plan to check it out in the fall of 2021. I love the fact that it's on a private beach, but I'm curious, if there are any options for excursions (i.e. horse back riding, jet skiing, etc??)
@Leanna Thomas I visited this resort in January 2021. AquaWorld MX provides a huge list of excursions and they’re located on the beach adjacent to Las Dunas Restaurant. They have jet skis.. don’t remember seeing horseback riding but also on list, parasailing, snorkeling w/ underwater museum, scuba diving, Isla Mujeres Day trips, trips to Cenotes (with Mayan prepared meal), and many more excursions to chose from. (Isla Mujeres Snorkeling and Cenote excursions were worth it). AquaWorld MX partners with the resort so you may charge your excursions to your stay if you don’t want to carry cash around. Lalo and Ulysses were a great help planning out my excursions. I love the Top Flight Family Channel.. favorite travel channel on RU-vid!
I was actually looking for videos on the Finest's new resort in Punta Cana (not much available except stock photos) but heard the resort in Playa Mujeres is the model for their new one in DR. This has been incredibly informative and your lovely family especially your daughters are so cute! I look forward to checking out the other videos too.
I really enjoy your traveling videos, specially for the fact that are Family oriented traveling videos. The only thing I would really change is the fact that you guys don't mention the prices you guys paid for the services at the destinations visited like food price, plane tickets etc. That's a plus in any traveling youtube channel.
I have the same questions as you, I would love to travel to those wonderful places, but I don’t know if can afford them, I would love if they provide the prices
Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S
Do you mind sharing which room number this is? I am about to book a swim up room and need this corner spot with my two kids. Mainly so they dont disturb other guests so having something in their own corner would make everyones lives better during our stay! :) thank you!
My Dad is taking my mom on a trip for her 70th birthday then midway through the week myself, my family, my sister and her kids, along with some of my moms's closest friends will join and surprise her. My mother loves beautiful beaches. Which place in Mexico or DR would you say has the most beautiful crystal blue beach with little to preferable NO seaweed?
As far as food, spa and kid activities, which would be your winning resort between Moon Palace (Cancun) or Playa Mujeres? We use your advice and videos for our travel. Recently went to Kalahari and cancelled Great Wolf based on your review. Thanks for all the GREAT content!
Hi! We looked on the website for the family suite that was also swim-up like the one you stayed in, but it wasn’t listed on the website. Then I called the resort to ask about that particular suite, and they said it does not exist....but it clearly does in your video. Please help! We would love both of these features in one room. Thank you!!!
Hello again TFF! My wife and I will be traveling to Negril in July. I have secured a few excursions but would appreciate any recommendations you may have. Thanks and thanks always for the educational videos.
Did you all have to have COVID testing prior to going and before leaving the resort? And did they make your daughters get the testing if it was required?
Hi, we have friends staying at Excellence and we wanted to book there also but it is sold out. If we book the Finest club level will we be able to dine and hangout with our friends?
Nice resort and close to Isla Mujeres, which is a plus. But to be honest, not sure I like or agee with the "masks optional" feature 😳 I think it's reckless, especially with the high Covid numbers Mexico has had!!! I'm baffled. Maybe will be an option waayyy post-Covid!!!
I agree with you, but unfortunately this is pretty much the norm throughout many resorts in Cancun. I will say that it still felt very safe here, even indoors. The ceilings are very high in all the restaurants and they do a great job with keeping tables distanced. So that helps!
@@TopFlightFamily Well hopefully soon most people will be vaccinated and that fear will dissipate as time goes on. Can't wait to see your #8 vacay! Stay safe!
Can you please add if they have any room babysitting? We have a baby and older kids and it’s hard to do activities with the older kids and with the baby so we’re looking to do vacations or we can have someone come to the hotel and babysit for a couple hours in the room if they don’t offer kids club
So it looks like even the family suites only accommodate up to 3 "adult" guests...trying to find an all-inclusive for four of us - since I have teens over the age of 12...thoughts?
Does every finest club family suite have a sim up pool? We’re staying there in September with 2 kids. Wanted a swim up suite but need 2 rooms. Booked the finest club family suite. Will that have a pool? Or is the finest club family suite swim up pool a separate room type?
How many nights did you guys stay at this hotel? We are thinking about booking 4 nights. Do you think it would be enough time to enjoy the stay or it would be too short?
Do they offer the PCR test to return back home? We're there anything you should or should not consume at resort? Do you purchase travel insurance for family as you go to each resort or is there a monthly package you can get?
Omg 🤦🏻♀️ I completely forgot to include testing info! Yes rapid tests are provided for free on site. If you need a PCR test I believe an additional fee may apply. We have an annual plan for travel insurance since we travel so much. But if you only travel a couple times a year it may be more cost-effective to pay per trip!
Hi! Thank you for a lovely video. After having looked at Finest's website and other photos on the internet, I am still confused by the bed situation. Where did you girls sleep?? I've been to Excellence and the rooms look quite similar so I'm not sure if the couch near the terrace converts to a bed?
I was actually looking at this resort this week. My son will be thirteen when we travel. Did you check out the Teen Club? How would you compare this resort to Grand Moon Palace?
