Hi Nilambuj, this video includes a demonstration of the Finger-to-Nose test to assess a patients' cerebellar function, balance, coordination, and point-to-point movements. 1. Stand in front of the patient, holding your hand out abut 12 inches at eye level and instruct the patient to touch your finger with their right index finger followed by touching their nose with their right index finger. 2. Repeat several times while moving your finger a few inches in each direction (up, down, left, right). 3. Repeat with the patient's left index finger. NORMAL FINDINGS: Patient touches the nurses' finger and their nose accurately in all directions. ABNORMAL FINDINGS: Patient's finger is unsteady and unable to touch the moving target, which indicates difficulty with coordination and decreased cerebellar function. Hope this helps!
