Adorable! I remember learning how to make these in Beauty School. We used our fingers to guide the waves. We used a very sticky gel to form the waves, then dried and combed out into perfect waves.

Maya yes you do because if you don’t the hair style won’t look right at all you try it for your self and plus I go get my waves done professionally and they will also tell you you have to get it relaxed

Jasmine Bray it’s not true and if your stylist says that it’s because they don’t have patience and expertise to achieve fingerwaves on natural hair . I do it on my clients with natural hair and it looks just as good if not better 🤷🏾‍♀️✅

I think you did very well for it being your first or second time i it’s pretty good no matter what next time just put a scarf around your hair so you can lay the back down and it’ll keep the front and the back laid down until everything is dry But great job
