Thank you so much! I just finished the first glove and you made the pattern so easy to follow. On to make the second glove. The feather stitch is a huge yarn eater but my gloves are so soft and squishy and they'll keep my hands warm. I added another feather stitch round and a half, then a round of hdc, and 1 round of sc, then finished it off wirh ss. The edge goes up to just past my knuckles and its perfect for me.

Very good instructions! I'm still a beginner and I followed your video up to the beginning of the feather stitch part (except I began with a chain of only 11 instead of 13). I like the way going through both loops at the end of each row of ribbing gives a nice edge to the cuff. After deciding I couldn't tackle the feather stitching yet, I went to a different video that uses HDC throughout. I like your beginning better, though! Thanks; subscribed.

Thank you for this pattern! I had a difficult time doing this but I was determined. I completed the 1st glove but did have an issue around the thumb area. I unraveled back to the thumb and will try again. I did have a large space above the thumb whole so I'm sure I did something wrong.

Hi, thanks for this great pattern! I have a question because it's hard to tell in the video: when doing the HDC increases, do you place the second HDC in the same spot as the first HDC / third leg? Or do you move over to the next space? Thanks!
@jolieknotscrochet3550

How do you make the thumb hole bigger? Yours seems too tight. Thank you. I am totally confused, but I'll try it.
@jolieknotscrochet3550
@jolieknotscrochet3550 4 года назад
you can go an extra row of increase, that may help if yours is too tight.

Hi, thanks for excellent instruction, it is easy to follow. But I have a problem, after the ribbed part, when İ croched first feather raw the total elasticity decreases and it start to barely fit my wrist. Untill the feather row, it easy fits. İ guess it maybe caused by thinner not so flexible yarn, but do you have any suggestions about how to maintain elasticity and width in feathers same as in the ribbed part?
@jolieknotscrochet3550
@jolieknotscrochet3550 3 года назад
Yes, you can go up a hook size after the band :)

The first feather stitch makes the wristlet feel too tight to pull over my hand. What can i do to make it bigger?

I love this pattern! I get confused by the counting: before the thumb-hole, you count from the end of the round (16:29), but after the thumb-hole, you count from the beginning of the round (21:47). If you do "4 rows around," but count from the beginning of the round instead of the end, you end up with just 3 complete rows from where the marker is, right?
@jolieknotscrochet3550
@jolieknotscrochet3550 2 года назад
You’re right, i never noticed and don’t remember anyone bringing this up. 3-4 rows is ok, it will just be longer for longer fingers to do the extra row, but if you have short hands, 3 will be perfect

Had the same problem where my rows were just going straight up, but then I figured it out. Here's what I found: When doing your first row of the feather stitch into the HDC, the second stich is directly below the THIRD. When doing the second (or any of the continuous rows after) the second stich goes directly below the FIRST (before the feather below) Hope this is helpful:)
@jeanniffer925
@jeanniffer925 3 года назад
@@jolieknotscrochet3550 no it just made the stitches puff out. It just goes straight up, maybe it's just the yarn I chose, Caron simply soft. I'm planning on trying again with different yarn

@@aieshahismael2581 I did that with the first round of feathers but then I'm like no she puts it in this stitch here lol so I'll just do it that way on my next pair 🙂
