Truly a testament to Japanese engineering. Actually sounded smooth and responsive after all those years and it’s only got 3 cylinders! Also I continue to be impressed by your knowledge, patience and perseverance. So tedious to keep unbolting and re-fitting stuff. I can really see this channel taking off in a big way.

Can't beat Japanese engineering. I was surprised as you when it came to life! It would be great if the channel takes off. I would like to do a few projects back to back eventually.

@@MEZURASHII.lifeinJapan Looking forward to seeing how things progress. As a petrol head I love watching that but at the same time I often wonder if I'd chosen Japan instead of HK all those years ago how my life would be. Right now I'd definitely rather live in Japan than almost anywhere else I can think of and the couple of times I visited I loved every minute of it. So for me at least, this is one channel that combines two interests into one. Wishing you all the best!

Crazy to think looks like the reason it was taken to scrap is the blocked return line that then burnt out the fuel pump, i was worried for a second the ecu had the dreaded leaking capacitors issue, happens to a heap of 90's japanese cars, you should buy another one after this!

You could be right that it was scrapped for something so minor. Another thing is Japanese cars become expensive to own as they get older and also lack of spares?

I was also starting to sweat about what could be an ECU issue. I didn't really look at the car properly in the junkyard....Just pointed at it and said "YES PLEASE"!

I would have never thought that it was an issue with the return fuel line, we learn everyday. Well done !
