This is an awesome prototype. I imagine for the production version injection molding would be both stronger and much faster to make..

Distal, intermediate, and proximal phalange. I ran out of time to put details in like that. I also wondered if people would even want me to go into the anatomy details.

I'm working on a print in place hand as well! This looks great, I love the flexures.

@@adrianperez3375 Subbed as well! I've been going a bit of a different route for the fingers. Using nitinol wire to push-pull on a more standard hinge pin design. The pros I think are strength and precision at the cost of compliance. I love your implementation of the pullable PLA strip though. Really neat that you can print that whole mechanism and have it ready to actuate with minimal assembly.

Can you make a metal printed version? :D would be very interesting to see various alloys at work there

@@wdwadindwatri I would love to! I really want to machine one using Wire Electric Discharge Machining. If anyone has a machine out there and wants to collaborate, I'm totally up for it.

High one! Super creative product! How about adding some rubber grips for the fingers? Can't wait to see a high five :)

@@zeropain9319 I am going to dip the whole finger in a silicone mold at one point to make it even more android-like.
