Nigeria as a country always desire what they didn’t labour for. Cisse has been coaching Senegalese team, when they won and when they lost for years. Until they bounced back and won the AFCON and did well to qualify for the last World Cup in Qatar. Cisse coached Senegal more than 5 years before people began to hear about Senegalese team. Nigeria go and hire foreigners to coach your team, since you can’t train your own local coach to come to limelight. Going to World Cup is good and fine, but I don’t think it’s a do or die affair. Keep on trading on foreign coaches, don’t train your own coach.
they still qualified to the world cup, and besides senegal at the time had a young squad, similar to nigeria in 2018, the super eagles are now (for the most part) hitting peak form for their clubs and they are in "win now" mode, if it was a rebuild to the national team than sure keep finidi but we domt need to rebuild the national team we just need a good coach to help us win
The players has nothing to offer..to lazy..worst sets of super eagles we ever had for a very long time..Afcon was score one and defend..no skilful midfield ,ball passers etc,no local or international coach can help the likes of onuachu,Iheanacho,carvin Basey,jaminu,Sami ajayi,chukwueze..these are all bench warmers in their different clubs even in championship..the team under eguavon was better but goal keeper messed up… Eze is playing for England tomorrow..this players are sluggish and not motivated….playing for Sudan and Tanzania clubs then in the eagles…what do u expect?

Finidi has himself to blame for his sack or demotion. Finidi was given everything that he needed for him to succeed, but his incompetence came to reality after those games that he was the coach. He toyed with the golden opportunity that was given to him. This is the time for him to go.
