Hey there buds! I only noticed now, but this is the 10th dedicated knitting video that I've made so I am gonna bake a walnut cake in celebration later today!

Hahahaha! Thank you! I feel like they should just pick up some needles as well and we can just say we are a traveling knit club. Put out a wee hat and people can throw us some tips as I show them complicated stitches :DD

Ah! That's so kind of you to say! My tip would be to practice contrast and complementary colors! You need to pick just two really good ones that go great together and go off from there!

Hi Mona, i really like your Aros sweater. For the 1x1 ribbing, if you doing your purl stitches the standard way, than I highly recommend to try the norwegian purl, like petiteknit is showing in her videos. This was a gamechanger for me. For a long time I thought that her purl stitch was just a complicated version of mine, but now I know better:)

Aww thank you so much! Oh! I have actually practiced the norwegian purl a bunch in the past, thinking that maybe I can come to love purling, but my muscle memory gravitates back to what I am used to and at this point I dont know if I can re-learn it haha :DD

As always, loving your finished pieces! Such a lovely sweater (you knitted it so fast, oh my!), and socks! And the dotted ones are adorable as well :-) I also wanted to thank you for giving us a view into how you picked the colours for the sweater stripes. It makes matching colour an exciting, rather than a truly daunting 'I'm never going to be able to make it look good' process. Can't wait to see what wonderful things you're going to show us next :D

Haha thank you! Honestly stripes are so addictive to knit that I just keep thinking, one more and I will put it down ... and I never do! I wish I could explain better my color choices but they tend to be more intuitive than theoretical. I hope that one day I will have a recipe behind how I decide what color goes where :DD

That Aros sweater turned out so nice! Love the stripe combinations. And those polka dot socks!! I'm a bit annoyed I only really got obsessed with knitting after I moved to the US, I feel like Germany/NL has much nicer + affordable self-striping yarn (: I need to get some for myself the next time I visit.

OH! Thank you so much! Haha its funny you say that because I see these US only yarns from time to time and I wish I could order without having to break the bank! But you should! I have a big stash of sock yarn and it will keep my pleasantly entertained throughout the summer!

@@ghostpuff ahh the grass is always greener on the other side, and all. Which US yarns have you been eyeing? I really want to make some socks with the Crazy Zauberball, but the yarn costs around twice as much here compared to Europe.

@@pagesandpurls Oh yea I can imagine, and its already 10 bucks here :'D I am drooling over hedgehog fibers and spin cycle yarns (even though I would probably not dare use it for socks and just keep safe for a sweater haha). Those too cost a small fortune here so for now I will just admire other people's makes with them :D

@@ghostpuff Haha, yeah, I think the postage will probably be 3 times more than the skein! When you flashed it up on the screen, I immediately thought "Omg! That's so cute, and with the orange contrast colour!! 🤩" I fell in love, obviously. 🤣

Oh no!!! The self striping ones?? There was a really pretty version with lilac by the same brand, but honestly there are so many crazy good colorways out there, so dont give up on finding something similar!!

Love the chatty video as always :) I'm very interested in hearing more about your book! Is it one you wrote or you're illustrating for someone else? When does it come out? Also, I can't wait for the shop open yeeee💃💃🎉

Awwww thank you! I'm glad you enjoy it :DD So the book is a rhymed nature themed story book, and I am the illustrator to Gabby Dawney's wonderful words. I have done one in the past with her called "5 Minute nature stories" and the new one will be themed around the ocean! Come out day is probably going to be next year for the new one, but I can't know at this stage :D And yay! Parallel to this I am looking on the shop as well!
