Lovely work, no cheat steels or unnecessary modern fixtures ;) Boards and string all the way. Sand to keep your brick edges clean is just so simple yet elegant, brilliant but obvious, best “new to me” technique I’ve seen in a good while. But then I don’t lay many arches these days :)

Evan thanks a lot mate , well these flat arches ( hanenkam in Dutch) are self supporting but we did cast a concrete behind it with some rebar in it just to make it xtra rigid ;)
Hey Jay, ben benieuwd naar jouw "recept" van je mortel. Die ziet er altijd zo smeuïg uit 😄 Als ik dergelijke stenen mets droogt mijn mortel zeer snel uit, bij jou blijft die precies goed behandelbaar.
Nee doen we niet .. wel gebruiken wij soms 12 mm voegen tegen het verbranden , toch wel opletten met warm weer.. muur nat spuiten met tuinslang na het uitkrabben als het nodig is
