Our JD 8820 has spring loaded latches on the bottom of the throat & 2 "catches" up top. You "hook" the head on the top of the throat & then engage the bottom latches once get it picked up. To take off the head, ya just do the opposite. I think it's the same way on the Gleaner. Looks like you need to get a short transfer auger or get a big round hopper to "corral" all those loose beans @ the bottom of your elevator.
Jacob Ive watched you probably almost two years because you commented on wes's channel about his combine. That's how things work with good channels what comes around goes around good luck.
STUBS 1960 - did you catch Jacob's gust star appearance on Bandit farmer channel? Jacob drove Bandit's new combine home for him. I'd put a link but I'd end up in the spam bucket.
Lucky for you that your winter is like our late fall. Otherwise your beans and corn would be under 3 feet of snow lol. And that good ole Ford wouldnt even turn over in minus 35
Our harvest handler has a cover on the bottom keeps everything in side.. Looks like a sq. Raingutter .fits over gap in bottom .held on by a bolt on either side .great video used ours for oats
Good to see I'm not the only guy still pumping fuel by hand into the machinery. I've got the same pump. Really pushed fuel but it takes a bit of effort if you are not high enough to get good leverage. Good luck with the rest of harvest.
Harvest Handler in Beans lol glad you have time for that..... only uses i had for those conveyors was for moving ear corn and silage and it was great for those ..
Looks like you could change out those paddles and replace with solid belting, might take care of your "pile" issue underneath and allow you a faster transfer rate. Cheers :)
be careful when your in the front of a combine and a header. we lost a dear friend of ours in a combine accident putting the header on. stay safe buddy.
Thanks for the video. Does your loader tractor lift high enough to reach over the truck? I help a friend during harvest sometimes and we had problems with unloading auger before. We have had to open the clean outs on the tank and let the grain run out on the concrete barnyard. He doesn’t have cattle anymore. But we scoped the grain up with the loader tractor and dumped it in the truck. It didn’t take very long to all. I’m not telling you how to do your work by any means.
It will lift high enough. If we had a few less bottle calves in the way, they have some very new and smooth concrete under them. I did your trick wth ear corn once there.
Good ol new holland diesel is like the little supa dexta ford or 780 case we have. Always needs the good stuff to get goin, well with the case it could be a 100 degrees out and it needs it. Old thing is tired haha
have you ever considered getting a second (or third) hand grain cleaner? ive heard that cleaning grains especially beans get them to dry down quicker, and in your case when you arent running huge acres or yield it would only be a couple extra hours a season.
We have a cute little clipper seed cleaner. It's good for ten bushels an hour. I watched a very new seed cleaner good for 50 bushels an hour sell for $18,000 a couple weeks ago.
@@boehmfarm4276 a brand new gcs air cleaner can do like 8000 bushels an hour for 35k the new air cleaners are cheap, brand new and you can add sorting machines to it later if you do grass seed or something.
@@boehmfarm4276 get rid of that points ign. Transplant a gm hei style one. One wire, pretty sure they make them for Ford's now. Alot of hotrods have the hei unit. Cheap and really easy to install
@@rondirt1852 Yeah the "Davis Unified Ignition" HEI with a Ford distributor base and drive gear... they were $450 last time I checked probably 15 years ago. Sure they're double that now. You can get electronic ignition kits for pretty much ANY points type distributor now anyway from speed catalogs or aftermarket farm parts suppliers... Later! OL J R :)
Boehm Farm Ah yes that's even better than a block heater . Our farm in Canada we have it on our tractor with the loader to clear snow . Never heard of one on a combine so pretty cool 👍🏻
