As a child I lived in Liipola, claimed to be the most dangerous area of the city. That was in the 1980s and I never felt unsafe back then. Yes there were more than average working class people and divorced/single mums but no real dangers. Today there's a high percentage of unemployment but I still would not call the area dangerous.

It blows me away how many Northern Europeans speak English! I live in Miami,Florida and half the population doesn’t speak English!!you folks really have a Great Education system!

Chicago of Finland is called originally because slaughterhouses. Sopenkorpi (City part of Lahti in southwest) had same slaughterhouses that Chicago, Illinois; not because of the crime situations ;) Later was crime reasons

They used to say that Lahti is Finland's Chicago. Maybe not true on these days, but it is still pretty dodgy place. So I am glad my parents chose that a as the place to retire. My dad was born in that region so it makes sense, but I do worry at the back of my head.

go to Paavola. It's in Hyvinkää, about 50 kilometres from Helsinki

I live in California USA and I hardly saw anyone anywhere. That bus would be full of people here. How do you guys not get sun burned? Or do you?

Yeah, overall Finland is not populated very densely. It's not very rare to be the only passenger on a bus from time to time. It was about 20°C or 70 °F during the filming so we didn't get sunburned :)
