Colorful stroll around Helsinki amusement park Linnanmäki (Borgbacken) on a sunny afternoon. Just after the rain cleared up, lots of happy people are visiting the park. The old water tower in the center of the park has rendered the park it’s name that refers to it as a fortress. Inside it there’s a rather charming, mid-scary space themed roller coaster. Now, if you are after huge roller coasters with first class effects this might not be the place for you. But I appreciate the relatively small scale and 1950’s feel to some old rides, and the fact that there are many rides that are fun but don’t look too deadly. I’ve been here in high season several times, and this is the most crowded I’ve seen the place, so lines are usually not too bad for most rides.
