The station sure looks pretty but not the best for saving seconds off launching rescues. The miniscule gate the trucks need to crawl out of, that cobble road, and just look at the suspension of the cars entering he road.
Yeah your right But its really old so its meant for older vehicles and it can’t really be changed becouse the guy who designed the station is dead and it would be a really hard process
So true. However, the location is quite near the Helsinki centre, fire department's one sea station, bar area, main railway station, and passenger harbours. More than 10 millions of passengers travel yearly via the Port of Helsinki. The streets in centre area are typically quite narrow with plenty of cobble stone and traffic. Despite of short distances it unfortunately may take time to reach the targets.
Actually the station is quite nice inside, too. It might take a few additional seconds to get to the street, but it takes more time to get the cars back to their garage through narrow old doors... 😄
