FINNAIR A320 AY531 Economy Class - Helsinki to Rovaniemi, Plus a couple of Fighter Jets (4K)

After an early morning arrival from Seoul, South Korea, after clearing immigration, collecting my bag and checking in again it was time to head to the Finnair Lounge.
As I already have uploaded some videos on the Finnair Schengen Lounge, and not much time their, just enough for a shower, a quick bite and some coffee plus check some emails, I didn't video anything.
Then it was time to head to the gate for the flight up to Rovaniemi.
Flight AY531 was an Airbus A320, which tracked directly North entering the Arctic Circle before approaching the airport heading South.
Due to the short flight time, only refreshments were served.
After arrival, I picked up my rental car, a near new Skoda Karoq, and at the same time a few Fighter Jets blasted off from the runway just behind me...

Two French Air Force Mirage 2000Ds (two seat fighter-bombers), a very lucky catch! I believe they were at Rovaniemi to participate in the Arctic Challenge Exercise, together with some other NATO allies like the UK, US and Germany.

Thanks for that info. I was just checking my rental car and then that unmissable sound of a fighter jet had me fixed on the runway. I did speak to a few locals who said there was a bunch of exercises going on, and over the following few days saw a few F/A-18's & F-35's in the distance. A good way to start building up some excitement before heading back to Axalp Switzerland for the Swiss Air Force Display in October.
