@@getin3949 Foxes are not pack animals. There isn't an alpha fox. They generally claim territory and hunt alone, and it's quite rare to see them together in a cohesive unit. Pack dynamics are not translatable from wolves to other species, just so you know. Chimpanzees, for example, don't participate in any sort of "alpha" or "beta" hierarchy. Instead they form cohesive family units which occasionally form alliances and bonds with other family units in order to gain access to sexual partners, resources, or protection from other aggressive animals or family units. Humans don't participate in any sort of alpha or beta hierarchy, either. The "Alpha male" mentality is one which just exemplifies the use of confidence and physical fitness in tandem with achieving goals. Just because a person can wear this personality doesn't mean that they have social status, more wealth, occupational advantages, or even elected success. Some of the most successful humans in history were physically unimpressive and greatly lacked confidence; yet they're the ones you learn about in history class. All human social behavior is built around two things: Trust, and resources. A person can pretend that they're the stereotypical "Alpha male" like Andrew Tate does (This is called posturing), but behind the scenes, if they're untrustworthy, their social status is inherently lower. I can't think of anyone who more perfectly adheres to the false ideological concept of posturing themselves as a confident person to assume some role model position, and then flopping so hard at being the very most basic thing one requires to become a social god: Trustworthy. Others like Logan Paul come to mind, who's now being sued by the SEC for scamming the people he claimed to be a role model to. I want to warn you against blind belief in the concept that just because a person acts a certain way and the internet portrays someone a certain way, that they deserve your trust, admiration, and attention. Most often these people are posturing themselves in order to further promote their own wealth-building franchises. They rely on people like you to watch their silly little videos and they make sure their hands are visible to cameras before they do their silly little hand gestures and signals. If you peel all that back, what you really see is a bank account which can only grow if you, and everyone like you, continues to click on their content.
By watching these videos I noticed how much foxes are very complex animals. From Kipper changing behaviour more than once as he grows, and now I noticed that Vixie who always seemed the slightly less social fox of that group, and yet now she seems the one who is more open to befriend the doggie Fauna. It's really interesting.
Wilde foxes are lonely animals, they live with their couple. So the strange thing is that they get along so welll there, at least most of them. Dogs and wolfs have a more social nature.
@@naoberlincarrabouxo6552 Learning to sit is also odd for them as is their enclosure (as nice as it is). It makes sense they would adapt in some ways with pro-sociality being one of them.
It's so fun to see the interaction between species! I loved how Fauna leaned up against you when she realized Finn wasn't necessarily friendly with her.
Yeah, that was so cute! We have a lot in common with our furry friends, I remember doing the same thing with my mum on the first day of pre-school hahaha
@@shutterchick79 Same, but mine was a Min Pin/ Chihuahua mix. One day when she was young she greeted us looking like she was snarling, just all teeth but not making any noise. Took us a while to realize she had learned to “smile” like a human. She only did it when she was really happy.
Awwh, Finny, give Fauna a chance! She is such a sweet and adorable doggie. I love Fauna so much. I am happy that Vixie likes to play with Fauna. Hopefully, Finny will come around. Come on Finn! You can get along with cats. Fauna is a canine like you!😊Finn has never been around dogs. I think he feels threatened by Fauna. I love Fauna's relationship with Mala. 💖🙏🐶🦊
Fauna is trying so hard to become Finnegan's friend.....Finny is like: "Nah......don't need another friend." Fauna is such a sweetheart! ❤🐶 But i still love Finny too. ❤🦊
*Border Collies are awesome...I've had five throughout my life now....and losing my last guy was very hard....my dad passed away suddenly from a rare type of cancer...and they were inseparable...they did everything together. He waited by the backdoor for two months after my dad passed away...waiting for him to come home....heartbreaking* *Watching your foxes play with your b/c reminds me of my fox at the lake I rescued from mange and she became friends with my pup*
Fauna: "Oh my God, I want to play with Finnegan Fox, but he's being kind of standoffish, so I'll just have zoomies and find my friend Vixie!" Finnegan: "What is this Satanic creature and how do I assert my dominance over her?" Vixie: "You're weird, but I'm going to play with you." Leo: "I'm just the king of the castle, riding atop the human. Also, does this camera make me look cross-eyed?"
Finnegan's ancestral memory reminds him that some of our canine friends were created to hunt foxes... Of course, not so for your lovely Border Collie. I hope Finnegan will understand that he wants only to be his friend !
I've owned an Alaskan Malamute and he was a big male. He loved playing with all dogs, small and big. When we went to the park he was running next to my mountain bike. If he saw a dog on the right, he would go right and pull me off my bike. I don't care about your idea's but I'm going right cause I want to play with the doggy. 85 pounds/2 and a quarter feet of big sled dog and strong as an ox. Don't care what you want. We are going that way. Stubborn as hell and very smart too. Impressive hunter, he ripped the leash out of my hand caught a rabbit in the dark swimming canals to get it. Came back and dropped it at my feet. He went after a hurd of sheep. Had to climb a fence and I got my dog but he already corned 1 sheep. When hunting, he stopped listening. I had to bring a mountain bike to keep up with him because if he would be off the leash and started running. He would keep running for miles cause they love running. 2 things he didn't like. He was afraid of cats. But he absolutely hated Border Collies. Border Collies are very smart also and they have this instinct to drive, eyeballing/staring down and doing half circles around. My Malamute showed his dominance and got into a fight with a Border Collie, wrestled him to the ground and biting down on his neck from the underside. And he wouldn't let go for a couple of minutes. I tried everything to get him to release. Put my fingers in his mouth, shouting but he wouldn't listen. It was a display of force and dominance. The Border Collie wasn't injured surprisingly but knew who was boss. This is probably what's happening here. Finnigan is boss in his yard and a Collie is by nature dominant. He doesn't want to play with the Collie. The Collie is circleling and does a mock/fake attack to get a response in the video. It might look like playing but that's dominant behavior when eyeballing/staring. Bows down with front legs and wants to play. Don't know if a fox plays like that. Dixie not so dominant and thinks it's fun to play with the Collie. But Finnigan doesn't like the Collie in his yard because he's challenged in his position. My best guess.
This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen all year. When it showed the cat just chilling there aswell ❤️ very inspiring thank u for sharing and god bless u for all the work u do 🙌🙏❤️
Aw, border collies can be so derpy sometimes! I used to know an old man border collie who would smile at children because he loved them so much, but kids usually though he looked scary when he was showing his teeth. Such a sweet heart!
Fauna is such a sweet girl! I always replayed that part where she's holding up her paw, like trying to pet Finn. But Finnaroo won't have it, with those little noises he's making, lol. Love how Fauna is so good with the foxes especially the females. Mikayla is such an amazing trainer, and Ethan with his funny commentaries lol.
