COMPILATION PART 2
This is a compilation made up of videos I have made about Finland's Folklore! I have edited each segment to try ensure a seamless viewing experience. Keep in mind that some of these videos were created nearly three years ago, others are more recent, so there may be variations in audio quality between chapters.
And thank you for joining me on this exploration of Finland's history! I moved to Finland 5 years ago and made it my business to explore this part of the world's History, Mythology and Folklore and have no plans to stop now!
Your feedback is invaluable, so please don't hesitate to leave a comment, like, and subscribe for more content!

I'm Finnish and sometimes been shunned but Forest has always been my home. It's not suprise many Finns prefer timber homes cut from the local forest, or as local you can get.

I have been meaning to give a recommendation for a book, but never remember. Anyway "Kansanuskon yöpuoli - Hiidet, manalaiset ja muut demonit" is a very nice book for mythology and Finnish creatures. In general I recommend it for everyone who are interested on the topic, though the book is only in finnish if I'm right so that can be a small roadblock for many non-Finnish.

I could never live in a city where nature and forest wasn't around me and easy to travel to and enjoy. Great video as always!

I just found your channel. You are doing God's (or should I say Ukko's!) work. It is a shame that being "conscious" of Finnish history and culture is somewhat lost on most Finns (although it is understandable considering the past few hundred years of history and problems with Russia). Of course, you can still see the older ways manifest themselves in many traditions. It makes me especially happy to see someone "not born in Finland" immerse themselves in this. In my opinion, Finnish history is world history. I hope you continue enjoying living in Finland, discovering its history and culture, and also considering yourself both Finnish and Irish.

By far my favourite of your video's so far. Possibly my most enjoyable Finnish content ever watched. I had an idea to explore the Finnish lakeland area, from Helsinki as far as Koli vai Lappeenranta and Savonlinna. Maybe even see Kupio and Jyväskylä on the return. And to get in some wilderness/woodland wanders, after only seeing Helsinki, Turku and Rauma on my first trip last year. After watching this I'm inspired to put my plan into action! Just hope I don't get eaten by bears. Any bear info would be highly appreciated....

Great story telling. As a Finn I really can relate most of the stuff. One point though, ending of the video. Nice story etc and then sudden stop... Just saying...

I don't think you've made a video of "the finnish air force" aka mosquitoes and how it is to live with them here in Finland. :) You must have ran into large swarms of them during summer. Usually foreigners who come to Finland can be upset about how huge numbers of mosquitoes we have here and how aggressive they can be. Trying to have a walk in the forest or trying to pee in nature can become a challenge, if not an adventure.

Oh one does not come out of the lake but down from the skies, is just that during Finnish times, 😂the gods reincarnated without going back home and for that they used the lake. It is too much of a long tale to post on RU-vid 😊😊😊
