Cursed with liars... Maybe it looks good outwars but inside they are tearing us apart... First thing they did was reduce the tax for the top 20% and above, then then reduced the money for the bottom 40% and now we have 5% small companies within the service sector having to declare bankruptcy... Soon we will be as fcking USA with homeless people in the streets and people having to work 2 jobs to pay the bills while some just do nothing because they were born into wealth.... Sacrifice 99 so that 1 can succeed... Our country is nothing like it was 25 years ago... Kokoomus will be the end of our welfare state and PS is Xenophobic populist party that does anything to get more towards an autocracy where everyone should be as them(similar to the maga movement and they do have the neo nazis votes so). Media ais feeding the people lies and the government does not even have a handle on how laws work and what our country has signed. A bunch of greedy clowns that will do so much damage that it will take 20 years to repair... I do not like foreigners either because they bring their religions, pushes their culture on me and changes my country. Like I loved what our country was 25 years ago... I do question once per week today if I would even defend it now when we have become greedy and selfish and stpd. We are lending money now so that welathy get wealthier and the future generations have to pay the loan back, really sad to be honest how they are trying to blame the poor for it all...(we had poor people 25 years ago also but still we didn't need to take loans so that the wealthy could make some money). This is not the country I was raised in and it does not carry the standards I was thought by the generation that defended us from the Soviet and BUILT this country to what it is. Todays young are ignorant fools fed stpdty by the internet, they have earned nothing and only inherited what the generations before them defended and built but still they behave like ignorant American people, I feel nothing but shame for what my country has become and this government is nothing to be proud of and the former was somewhat good until Sanna agreed to be some feminist "model" in europe and then behave like a teenage girl(its only 4 years and they do get paid enough so how hard is it to behave). I can continue with 50 A4's of how our country is nothing to be proud of about since Kokoomus got the first time more than 15% of the votes and they ran the propaganda in the universities... We have always survived together never have we survived by the means of "me and me and me and myself"... There is no more unity among us and the right to walk the land is almost gone, a simple thing as everyones right to enjoy every place in our country... Its sad and I hope I will die before it gets much worse, lets hope its while I still feel like defending this country and against the kremlin.

Our president is educated but he is faaar from good, he still mixes his personal life into being the face... Good point. The finns didn't want to join NATO earlier. They were afraid it would damage the relationship with Russia. When they found out, that Russia attacks for whatever reason anyway (Ukraine), they decided to join NATO. I guess Sweden had the same reason. I live here in Finland now, originally from Denmark.

@@Jerry-gj1bh Well it was exactly opposite. Social democrats have been traditionally more close to east. Former president Tarja Halonen was bit too friendly with Putin. She was old socialist who was against Nato and even EU military co-operation. Former prime minister Paavo Lipponen (sdp) fouded his own company that got money from Russia to lobby gas line to Germany. And many others have been many naive with Russia.

He continued the line of his predecessor, President Tarja Halonen, regarding NATO membership and wanted Finland not to join NATO. The National Coalition Party supported this view of President Niinistö. Prime Minister Sanna Marin wanted to bring Finland into NATO, and it annoyed President Sauli Niinistö when progress on that matter moved quickly.

Finland didn't want to join NATO, when we thought we could rely on Russia as being reasonable and sane, that was our big mistake. The Ukraine invasion opened everyone's eyes, and within one week, NATO support by the public went up to 80%. Putin caused this, if you want to blame someone, blame him.
