Its actually a pretty fun mod. Dont know how much of the original red orchestras or rs 2 you've played, but its basically just ro with rs2 gun play.

I dunno rimmy, it's pretty great and is a decent simulation of the winter war, sure there are bugs and a few unpolished things but I thought that it was neat for a free mod

So unless there was an update just now that changed the ski mechanics the skis baisicaly speed up a RIDICILOUS ammount when you go in the same direction, more specificaly turning slows you down and when the character pushes him self forward with the ski stick thinigies or whatever you anglo fucks call em, so by timing your turning with the pushes you can baisicaly constantly go full speed, wich is REEALY fast at least compared to running, also molotovs need to hit on top of the motor on tanks. TLDR: Skis gain speed with character animations, if you time turning correctly you can always be on full speed, molotovs need to hit a tanks back to be effective

Idk how I feel about this video, it felt like you were just trying to shit on a free mod, and the comment on did RS2 have medics makes me wonder if you even played the actual game before playing this, nobody should buy RS2 to play the mod for it because the main game is bound to be better than the mod. Some experience in the actual game may have led to a better time in this mod, I think the people who will enjoy this mod are those who enjoy RS2 and are looking for a change of pace. Sure the assets don’t look good, maybe because it’s a free to play mod that was release today. You really can’t get a good impression with 84 minutes total played RS2 can be stupid fun even while getting curb stomped if you have a good commander, but if you have a shit commander or a team that doesn’t communicate you aren’t gonna enjoy your time.

Late reply but as someone who lives in (somewhat) northern Sweden, I can tell you that ski-ing quickly even with todays advancement of skis and vaseline, it isn't easy. I imagine it's a 1000% harder on shitty-ass wooden skis in -40 celsius when the snow is packed to shit.
