This song has meaning to me because I married a man whose first wife passed away from cancer. I've always felt a connection with her even though I didn't know her and I've always known I'm not in competition with her. I don't have to prove myself or try to find any flaws she may have had. We are different and our love for the same man is different. There's always a sense that there are traces of her in our relationship. We even still have some of her household items... a reminder that I am with her husband and children and I have a unique bond with her.

She could just sing "Ladies, ladies, ladies, ladies" as the whole song and I'd die happy.

"Yet another woman to whom I won't get through" this line is so powerful and the way she repeats it at the end gives me so many emotions ugh this is feminist anthem we need

this song will hold a special spot in my heart because it was on replay as I left my cheating and abusive ex with second and third degree burns covering my whole upper arm and chest on my left hand side. there was one woman who told me when I first got with him that he wasn't the man he made himself out to be and I didn't believe her, after I left I shook my head at every woman after knowing the hurt she would eventually endure.
