Image Factory productions Kissinger how cool! Thanks for sharing! I’m curious how this came to be... like why did they have a camera crew for this show?
Image Factory productions Kissinger nice! It is very well done and as a super fan this is one of my favorite shows that I’m so happy to have... I’m curious why this was never released? Was it ever intended for release?
An incredible performance. She comes across as a tortured genius, not surprising considering the trauma she suffered as a 12 year old. As the Father to a 12 year old daughter, my heart goes out to her.. I really hope that she can find peace.
I am 48 and have not met ONE SINGLE WOMAN WHO HAS NOT BEEN HURT BY A MANS STRENGTH SUPPOSED TO PROTECT SHES A VOICE TO SO MANY SO ITS VERY VERY BEYOND INTENSE AND PAINFUL AND ANGRY AND LOVE GENTLE SHE IS A GIFT
Guess my point is she's a genius and has the bravery to speak up and give voice to many ...most...and its disgusting how she describes this same man who uses his strength physically to hurt a hurt so deep just imagine how it is to be the girl the me our daughters our sweet girls singing limp feeling every nuance
She lives and relives the feelings poured in each song. This is no performance, it's her therapy. Thank you for the irreproachable filming and for uploading this. I wish Never is a Promise and First Taste had been on the program.
She never performs never is a promise live, not since 1999. written at 14, it was one of the 3 on the demo tape given to music execs to promote herself at 17 in LA]. She says it reminds her of past traumas. [sullen girl was the song diorectly written about the sexual trauma] . Havent seen any live versions of first tase either, it was a bit of an anomaly on tidal, having a Latin theme, still a great song though.
Just recently discovered miss apple and she has quickly become my new favorite artist. She puts her all into the performances and you can tell that she is truly being genuine to her emotions, wish I was alive during her performance era's, she would have been INCREDIBLE live, a truly talented woman
This is why I love rock n' roll, put another dime in the jukebox baby! Most excellent performance. Thanks so much for posting this outstanding concert by Fiona and her band.
The meat speech!! Her dark humor and honest sadness and amazing way with words are even apparent in just a two sentence buffer in between songs!!! Jesus!!
This woman has me in a chokehold! I discovered her recently and am absolutely fascinated by her. A stunning personality. Her music resonates with me on a level like no music ever has. Her unique style is so mesmerizing and a real treat to listen to. She doesn't do unnecessary crazy vocals in her studio versions and then sound horrible when performing the songs live. In the contrary! She absolutely stunns performing live. She gives each song a new look, a new vibe! Truly spectacular! I wish artists like these could live forever. I wish they would be able to release new music forever. Keep performing forever! Thank you Fiona!
Undeniably, unapologetically herself. This is a phenomenal performance by Ms. Apple. Thank you for the upload. I hope we can get the sound remastered one day.
The version of criminal that she does on here is soooooo good there are No words to explain the emotion that she expresses while performing this. I've been listening to music for a long time I'm 35 years old and I think that I've just seen one of the best live performances ever. This woman is a virtuoso. One of a kind. The energy and talent is over the top. Marry me please.
Dude, you haven’t been listening to music a long time, as you say you’re 35. Fiona is one of my favorites and she performs that song similarly most times. As far as the greatest live performance? From someone who’s claims to have been listening to music for a long time? That’s laugh out loud funny. You need to listen to more live music. That’s not even her best.
I DONT THINK SOME GET ME !!!!! THIS IS NOT JUST LEGEND FOR HER >THIS IS AN AMERICAN SONG BOOK LEGENDARY CONCERT UP THERE EVER ! IS THAT JUDY GARLAND SITTING THERE IN THE FRONT ROW ....
SON OF A BEE > MAYBE ITS ME ? > THIS IS A LEGENDARY CONCERT> THIS SHOULD BE RELEASED AS A DOCUMENTARY PERFORMANCE FILM > JOPLIN/HENDRIX /HOLIDAY/SIMONE/ AND THIS IS FIONA .
She lives among us as one of the artists who shares what's in her mind on a metaphysical level. A total, genuine, moral person. These two songs show different angles of her creative strength. Incredibly. they're not the whole story. When I first got the CD from which they come I played this in the car all the time, eventually becoming so paranoid it'd be stolen that I never left it there. Keep on touring, keep on writing. Moh
She’s a natural! Some people are just born to do something special and she is one those artists. Gifted with a beautiful voice and she writes good songs.
INNOCENT NOT GUILTY IT WAS A SHOW TRY TO REMEMBER DON'T CRY MUCH IT WAS A LIE ONLY YOU WERE HURT IT WAS A TRICK A MEAN TRICK good song though, lost a little of it's meaning just now
Hats off, gentlemen. Fiona, a matchless poet. I wonder what your favorite one is to sing these days. I'm breathless to have stumbled into this recent concert! I'm not much younger than you and "Tidal" was a very important thing to have happened. I've started writing songs lately, something happened to me too and I realized what I had to do. Listen to my tunes if you can.
reinsurance off shore : Silicon Graphics wait is it pixar or apple or don't know, etc...reinsurance : case studies on distressed tmt entertinament media, kinda like marty lipton types , are you a marty lipton type? or jones day : securities law handbook series etc...or davis polk ipo bootcamp type?
Man I love Fiona but I dunno about this one. It's passionate sure, but it doesn't really translate well to the vocals. It's sorta like a tantrum in some parts and she's violently shaking like an angry baby or something. I'm glad she's getting her demons out here, but the vocals really suffer throughout a lot of this performance. Interesting gig for many reasons, but musically not her best.
@@imagefactoryproductions lol lucky, you can tell she's definitely in the moment. Even if I'm not crazy about the vocal performance, the energy/expression definitely makes up for it. This is a hurt soul exorcising the demons out of her. I imagine she fell down face first into a sofa backstage.. this was basically 2 hours of serious cardio lol
Once my lover, now my friend What a cruel thing to pretend What a cunning way to condescend Once my lover and now my friend Oh, you creep up like the clouds And you set my soul at ease Then you let your love abound And you bring me to my knees Oh, it's evil, babe The way you let your grace enrapture me When well you know I'd be insane To ever let that dirty game recapture me You made me a shadowboxer, baby I wanna be ready for what you do And I've been swinging 'round me 'Cause I don't know when you're gonna make your move Oh, your gaze is dangerous And you fill your space so sweet If I let you get too close You'll set your spell on me So darlin' I just wanna say Just in case I don't come through I was on to every play I just wanted you Oh-oh, it's so evil, my love The way you've no reverence to my concern So I'll be sure to stay wary of you, love To save the pain of once my flame and twice my burn So I'm a shadowboxer, baby I wanna be ready for what you do And I've been swinging around at nothing I don't know when you're going to make your move Yeah, I'm a shadowboxer, baby I wanna be ready for what you do And I've been swinging around me 'Cause I don't know when you're make your move
All my life is on me now Hail the pages turning And the future's on the bound Hell don't know my fury You're all I need, you're all I need You're all I need, you're all I need You're all I need, you're all I need You're all I need and maybe some faith would do me good I don't know what I'm doing, don't know, should I change my mind? I can't decide, there's too many variations to consider No thing I do don't do no thing but bring me more to do It's true, I do imbue my blue unto myself, I make it bitter Baby, lay your head on my lap one more time Tell me you belong to me Baby, say that it's all gonna be alright I believe that it isn't You're all I need, you're all I need You're all I need, you're all I need You're all I need, you're all I need You're all I need and maybe some faith would do me good And maybe some faith would do me good
