Its really hard to describe her voice... well i am not vocalist so that helps... but, may i can say that her voice sounds so "brutally beautifully honest". It just speaks pure and perfect with her tune-tale kinda song. This video is a perfect example of what I feel... Always been and always will be one of my favorite singer and songwriter.

I love this performance with the way they held back on the first chorus and then went at it on the second with the increased tempo/dynamics/instrumentation. Gives it more of a build-up type feel. The lights are great too. I love the album but the version of this song that's on there is kind of sterile in comparison. The synth part isn't on the album either and I think it sounds great.

This is a beautiful performance! Her lyrics stray far from stereotypical love songs which I rather like! When she next comes to London I shall see her along with my friend who introduced me to her! She sounds amazing in her recordings and she probably blows her audiences away in her live performances!

pretty simple on piano, even for me with no training. Just gotta look it up & put in the work. THE VOCALS though, are deceptively simple sounding. But I can't hack this low end at all. AND the high end is challenging. so yeah- no joke there. I'm thinking about trying to sing it live, but I'd need to transpose it up maybe 2 steps. even then, I'd have to take the high parts down an octave. sheesh. so------ you're right. There's a lot more going on here than it looks like. And we've said nothing yet about the other instrument work/ arrangement.
