SA, Correct me if I am wrong. I have an opinion very similar to Shaykh (fasting to the west of...), but with one extra factor. I believe the fasting of those to the right of the moon sighting would be acceptable "IF" those locations on the right would still have time to have sahur (something to eat before the fasting time kicks in). Anything beyond that would have to wait another day, as Shaykh Uthman said, they would've had there breakfast already. ws

Assalamu alaikkum sir, one doubt... I came from Saudi to India on Friday . Departed: Saudi (11:45 pm) friday Arrival: India (6:45 am) Saturday... On Saturday there was no fasting in India..but there was fasting in Saudi and Gcc countries... I am in India and do I need to take fasting on Saturday. ?

I saw shakyks lecture about moon sighting, Like if the moon is sighted in Saudi and all the countries to its west are binding to start fasting, can the same logic be applied to India? If the moon is sighted in saudi can we start fasting India aswell ???? Jasak'Allah hu khair.

Please help me find a hadith if it’s authentic or not. Abu Daawood (4727) narrated from Jaabir ibn ‘Abdillah that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “I have been given permission to speak of one of the angels of Allah, one of the bearers of the Throne. The distance between his earlobe and his shoulder is like the distance of seven hundred year’s travel.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Daawood. I know this hadith is authentic But there is a similar hadith that mentions bird. “The distance between his earlobe and his shoulder is like a bird flying for seven hundred year” Is the Hadith that mentions the bird authentic? Jazakullah!

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته أخي عثمان لقد شاهدة أحد فيديو هاتك على اليوتيوب. حيث جاء بعض الأشخاص لمناضرتك، و كان لديهم بعد الأوراق مكتوب عليها بعض الكلمات من القرآن، برواية ورش و حفص، و ادعوا انه اختلاف في القرأن. قلت لهم بأنهم ابتكر وا حروف جديدة في اللغة العربية. في الواقع لم يبتكروا هذه الأحرف لان بعض المصاحف برواية ورش خصوصا في المغرب العربي فيها تكتب القاف بنقطة من فوق و الفاء بنقطة من تحت،وفي آخر الكلمة الفاء تكتب بدون نقطة. اما النقطة من تحت الكلمات فهي في علم التجويد للترقيق. بارك الله فيك أخي الكريم و جزاك الله خيرا

siyam linguistically means to refrain, like Mary Radiyallahu anha in Quran. in Islam shar, refrain w/ intention for Fard fasting (before the fasting starts). Intention is in heart, you don't say it out loud, only niyat of hajj worship is said outloud! for non fard fasts you can make intention after fajr as long as you don't eat earlier! hadith proof Prophet peace and blessings be upon him asked Aisha Radiyallahu anha is there anything to eat, she said no, then he said I am fasting! Jumma isn't to be isolated for fasting fast, neither saba. You can do make up fasts on Jumma and Yowm Saba. However on Eid days you can't fast or make up a fast. What obligates starting Ramadan? - sight (Surah baqara 185- ish) We don't need to use the science! Not Caluclate the new moon, Sh. Fawzan said its bida. No Mathhab said you can calculate the moon, ibn Taymiyyah discussed this! 10 :00 - There are bedouins who have generations of experience and they have moonsighting and crescenstsighting. If moon is sighted anywhere, its obligation on the whole ummah ( in general). This is opinion of Abu Hanifa and ibn Hanbal! Imam Shafi said each area has their own sighting, there is hadith one city did Eid on one day and another did Eid on another day and were visited by the ppl who did it the earlier day. Medina and Syria had different Eid days that year! This is from Sahaba or mawqoof, not marfu! What is local size? this evidence doesn't fit or at least isn't prefferred. Medina and Syria have a short distance, so how can a much bigger distance like usa have the same sighting. Uthman Faruq said if its sighted those who are west of the sighting its binding on them as the moon cycle starts in the west and is better! 20 :00 - If you don't see the moon, you complete 30 days of Shaban. Fasting is Fard on the Muslim, adult, healthy. Whose witness do we accept? Someone who is Adlin and good moral character, nothing apparent that they are sinful, even if they are a slave! in witnesses it can be 1 woman witness, same with hadith, only in some court cases 2 nisa are needed. You can't accept from someone in an unknown state. hadith ibn Umar, he saw the moon and no one else saw it, Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him asked are you sure, he said yes, then they fasted the next day! To end the month of Ramadan they need two witnesses. Whoever is unable to fast due to being weak or old... a xllness where they don't expect to get better... in this situation they feed one poor person. 30 :00 - Quran 2 :185-ish! There is differences on whether you can feed all the ppl at one time or not. What is someone has a recoverable xllnss or traveling or a girl has menses, they should make it up. If sickness is light fast, if its severe and you need to take meds or it will harm its haram to fast. Is it permissible for travelers to fast? Yes if there is no hardship! Mathab of Abu Hanifa, Malik Shafi said its better to fast while traveling. Imam Ahmad said no because its a Ruqsa so accept it! If woman is pregnant or breastfeeding and fasting is a harm to self or child don't do it, but if no harm then fast! intentional eating and drinking breaks the fast and it needs to be made up. Hijama does break the fast! Nutritional injections invalidate fasts. Marital intercourse break the fast as does secret habit. intentional vomit break but not unintentional vomit. putting khol doesn't invalidate fast. using inhaler doesn't break fast. Dental work w/o injections doesnt break fast. nose drop - his opnion as long as you don't taste it doesn't break the fast. smoking does invalidate fast, but 2nd hand doesn't break fast non nutritional shots don't break the fast. touching a dog doesn't invalidate the fast! If you break a fast wrongly make it up after making tawbah, except marital intercourse, that requires 2 months of fasting or 60 days for tawba if you can't free a slave!
