Firaaq is a political thriller depicting the 2002 violence in Gujarat, India, and looks at the repercussion in terms of the effects on the lives of people. The movie documents the problems of the minority community to come to terms with the fact that they have to start from scratch and rebuild everything that they had. It follows the life of ordinary people, some who were victims, some silent observers and some perpetrators, a month after the violence in Gujarat.
